Re: Fall Day On The Bank

Alloy, where are you running from? Action is good right now off my local waters. Old Scantom is loaded with smaller tuna as we speak. Lots of fish in the 30" to 54" range. Nice to see.

I think the more aggressive style of the forward leaning will go over big for the military. Wouldn't want to encounter one of those. Awesome boat.

Marty, I know that it would have been great to get a bear, but if I judge you correctly, I am sure the trip was awsome judging by your description. Just being out there and seeing all of that makes me want to go. Thanks for the reports.

Case, what rivershed do you hunt in Petersburg? I have been there many times. We saw the largest amount of bear on the Petersburg river.
We also had encounters along Mitchel Slough.

I just mounted a pair of them horozontally on the back of the door to the center console. One on the topside of the center shelf and one blow the shelf. Verdict still out if they hold up that way (horizontally) but they seem solid.

JW, I spoke at lenght w/ Skip from Nyalic...great guy. He said he would never apply w/ aerosole cans as I was going to do. He said you could spray it on w/ a nice paint sprayer or roll w/ foam roller. Obviously foam roller would be easier, just looking for anyone that has done it.

Man you are living the dream for a hunter and a fisherman. Don't ever lose sight of that. I love your state and if the wife would ever entertain the idea, I'd be there in a heartbeat. Our spring hunting is just about here and it is Turkeys. I can't imagine going after a nice Boar Grizz. I will be vi...

Applying Nyalic

For anyone that has done so, what is the best method of applyinjg Nyalic? I have a nice paint sprayer that I could run it through, but I don't know if that is necesary. They said you could also roll it on w/ a foam roller. I have a gallon on the way and I want to be prepared. Any thoughts would be a...

I love the idea of that being endanged turtle habitat that can't be disturbed. Try that out on the wife and see if she buys it.

Show me a man with a meticulous yard, and then check his freezer....there wont be any fish in it. If you have time to mow the lawn, you have time to fish imo!

Anyone ever heard of ZEP-A-LUME? It's an acid wash specifically for aluminum and has to be diluted 1 to 5 for heavily oxidized aluminum and 1 to 10 for normal cleaning. You spray it on w/ a spray bottle and hose it off is my understanding. I don't want to hurt the hull at all, but seems like a good ...

Alloy, I am in the process of adding a cooler and my plan is to use some non skid matting and use the tie down system offered by Yeti coolers. It's 39 bucks. I think it should work fine. I will drill and tap and screw in. Shouldn't go anywhere I hope. If you get a better system please keep me in min...
