Re: 2325 Pacific for Sale

Alright, here are some pictures from about 10 minutes ago. I tried to take as many angles as I could. Also not pictured is a really nice davit for a pot puller and a factory engine guard which I took off, but will be included in the sale. It bolts right on. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v725/joe...

Re: spray rails and a dry ride

I'm not sure I follow your story at all. I've put a few thousand hours on a 19' Pacific out of Craig AK, which is know for some of the windiest, nastiest weather in front of town. I've come in on a SE gale many times in conditions much worse than you describe. I can assure you, what you described is...

Re: Pacific 2325 - 150hp

Thanks! I appreciate it. Due to local service, I'm a bit limited to Merc when I repower. My options are: 225 Verado, 200 Verado, 150 Merc 4 Stroke, or twin 115's. I don't want to go with the 225 Verado because of the whole steering system I have to buy. I'm not sure the 200 Verado would give me too ...

Pacific 2325 - 150hp

Curious if anybody has any speed/fuel burn numbers for a Pacific 2325 and a 150hp 4 Stroke. Thinking about repowering with a 150hp Merc 4 Stroke.

Re: 20ft pacific skiff

Pacifics are top of the line aluminum boats. I've ran just about all of them, and my personal boat is a pacific. I prefer it to every other make/model on the market for fishing.

Re: Pacific 2325 W/ Honda 130

I wish I knew the fuel burn. 130 gal tank was full. About 21mph at 48-4900 rpm. Piss flat day. Killed a buck and go a bunch of crabs. Pretty slow deer hunting though. Boat beaches really well and getting in and out isn't a problem. Local dealer has me almost convinced to put twin 115 merc command th...

Re: Pacific 2325 W/ Honda 130

Chaps, Both props were identical. I could still get it up to 55-5600 rpm, but didn't leave it there to see the speed. 5100 gave me about 25 mph. I'm so used to running my 4 strokes at 4200 rpm that the thought of 4800-5000 rpm is messing with my mind. Alloy Toy, it was on the bottom hole. Trim gauge...

Pacific 2325 W/ Honda 130

Recently picked up a 2002 Pacific 2325 T-Top with a 2002 Honda 130. The price was right and I figure I'll run the 130 till it pukes, and then go with a 225 or 250 and have a new engine to run with. (I'll be power trolling out of the boat) The boat is in almost "new" condition, except for t...

I like that. Did the 14k include the outboard? That'd be a great fuel efficient rig for inshore fishing.

Displacement Hull Alloy

A few questions for the Alloy experts.. Any aluminum boat manufacturers making a displacement hull for offshore use? Think it'd be possible to have a 34-36' displacement hull welded up, that could pack 8-10k of slushed salmon? Diesel engine, top speed of around 9 knots? Probably want around 12' of b...

Re: Black Lab Marine

It was kind of take it or leave it. When I add the engine and a trailer, it would be more then I paid for my 22 foot Grady White (Trn. 223 dual console) with a Yamaha 225 four stroke/trailer (bought new). Grady's aren't exactly chopped liver. I just can't see paying that much for a 19 foot aluminum...

Re: Chartplotter advice needed

I've been pretty impressed with the raymarine 57d. It's seems to be the perfect size for me. It takes a little bit of getting used to, but once you figure out how to do everything on it, it's rather easy to use. One of these days I'll actually read the instructions, and find out what it really can do.

That's a nice boat! haha, I have one almost exactly like it. Those 19' Pacifics do really well with the 130's. I ran the 130 for awhile, but stuck a 150 yamaha on it.

Re: Fish Alaska Charters

Lets talk numbers. The numbers NEVER lie. You are correct. Not many charters in your area. But... The GHL (guideline harvest level) for 2008 in 2c for charters was 931,000 pounds. (For those that don't know areas, the Entire SE Alaska is 2c, despite it being a huge area. The total take for your area...

Re: Fish Alaska Charters

Keep killing all giants and 2c will have a size limit on our charter hali..

You Gustavus guides are killing the GHL here in SE! You need to change your ways or none of us will be able to guide for halibut anymore.
