Re: New open sled build
Only problem is the 275 measures out to 29 actual hull length , then 31-1/2 with offshore bracket just not sure twin 150's would be enough. but the study plans are ok for $30.

Re: Brand New Wooldridge 17' Sport w/ Sport Jet
What makes a great jet boat is not how fast it will go but how slow it will stay on step. Oh , great looking little boat, that would be a fun one up clear creek off the Tananah

Re: All time favorite alloy.
Oh I agree a walk around would be nice, but the first pics of the Armstrong were not a walk around . Everyone has specific needs in mind when they start a build and all of mine were met. I may run this one for next tuna season then hang a for sale sign on her just cause I really enjoyed building her...

Re: Winter projects
This winter, I will finish the wood trim work in the new offshore boat, outrigger changes and a few other small items. The river boat left two weeks ago so I'll start the new open guide sled in another week or so.

Dave we'll help you anyway we can you know that, I just think you should run a few of your questions by( K Morin) and Chris Tucker, a few of these guys on here have done alot of this type work. And they can answer most of your structural and handling questions. Keep in mind that getting the old mate...

Re: Aluminum Extrusions???
Ok , Pacific metals in Eugene actually is the stocking branch for all of the others, they have some basic chine and keel extrusions but most of the really cool designs are owned by other boat manufactures. Actually working on a deal with a manufacturer to do a design build kit for a 21-1/2' 5 degree...

I believe chris Tucker told me once that 1 cubic foot of displacement equals 60 lb.s of floatation, but I'd email chris or Kmorin to be sure

Re: Time for a New build
Yes I'm building it myself this winter, I've gave up on plans and will design the boat myself and build exactly what I want before springer season. Not big on extrusion boats but seems to be what all of the jet boat guys are doing.
