Re: ReelSong project hits the salt

Thanks everyone for the praise, I really like her so far, the only problem is deciding what to build this winter? I may remodel my willie sled but I'd kinda like to start another build . Hopefully my brother gets serious and I can build him a boat.

I burned 80gallon on one trip and 92on the other . 80 gallon trip was 53 miles out , trolled 35 miles and ran 47 back. I burn 2.8 to 3.2 trolling with one motor at 7....

ReelSong project hits the salt

Finally made it out to catch albacore on friday, scratched up 20, got blown off saturday, then caught 34 on Sunday. Average distance offshore was around 50 miles with all day trolling and burned around 80 gallon of fuel, this in 25% less then my old Seasport with the 454cui dual prop. Boat handles a...

Re: Splashed her for the first time today

I did not install any holding tank, she's straight pump and dump with a lock on door and a sign that will read this door to remain locked unless 3 or more miles off shore

Re: Splashed her for the first time today

Would love to have the air rides but I'd have to remodel, and remove the storage boxes , Here's a peak at the interior, still waiting on my front suspension seats for passenger's side, a bunch of hardwood trim, and a few other things but this is what it looks like so far.

Re: Splashed her for the first time today

John, no UPS yesterday so harness will go out today, no problems with either motor and nothing changed, I think they were hearing the outside motors exhaust more on the troll with the triples possibly slightly out of the water cuz I thinks they run pretty well.

Splashed her for the first time today

Finally put the new build in the water today, ran out awesome, 51mph at 6000rpm and turns like a sports car. Actually made a couple full speed 50mph 180degree turns and it was amazing, you better hang on there was no slip and zero cavitation, getting pretty stoked to wrap her up by the first of augu...

Re: New to alloy site

Trying to sale the river boat so I can pay cash to finish all rigging and such. Being that Wayne is having trouble getting motors, no one's in a big hurry .I'd just as soon finish it all at once. Just waiting to hear. I'm sure it will get scratched once it starts fishing but hey its a boat.

Re: New to alloy site

I'll post some interior pics as the panel and wood work come together. As far as low profile look, thats exactly what I was after, We lower'd the floor height to just above the design waterline so the pilot house could stay as low as possible , I hate fighting the wind. There's only 6'0" head h...

Re: Windows For My Boat

I got prices from both seaglaze and motion, compared both of the clamp in styles and seem to be almost identical, the guys at motion were much more helpfull and windows were about half the price I'd definitley go Motion again.
as far as the rubber mount type, not recommended for offshore but clamp in with shatterproof tinted glass was a simple install

Re: Trim tabs ?

I dont think times are so good up north here, but the river, boat and drift boat, have to keep working til the offshore boat gets finished. All part of the master plan of someday selling the heating and cooling business and fishing for a living after its all paid for, I couldnt survive fishing only ...
