Looks very nice! What brand of windows did you install? Don't see square corners real often it seems.

Re: Help selecting boat for San Francisco bay
Hi, I fish those same waters...out the gate and into Suisun Bay and the delta. I have a 20' aluminum as well. The difference of a "deep vee" and "shallow draft" in a 20' boat is not going to be more than 6-8" at the stern on the hull...not a lot of difference. The other fact...

I like the shearline. What numbers are you comparing that make you attracted to the Hewes over the Weldcraft?
Keep in mind the #1 influencing factor of fuel mileage is weight. Hull form and other factors come in after that.

Re: Outboard brand question for 115hp
Thanks Fisherman. Can I ask what size your boat is and approximate weight? I keep wondering about jumping from the 115 4 cylinder up to the 135HO six cylinder and if the weight difference and likely somewhat increased fuel usage of the six is warranted. I know we all load, and use our boats differe...

ETEC 135HO will give you 148 HP. It is a good motor...I have one on my current boat. 115-150 should be sufficient.

Re: trailering a pacific 23?
I trailer a 20' aluminum on a galvanized trailer...4,300 lbs with a F150. I just purchased a new boat that combined boat and trailer is 5,300 lbs. Not a problem.
Go get yourself that 23' boat and put an aluminum trailer under her and have fun.

I feel the 135 HO on that hull will work fine, as long as you're not looking to be the fastest guy out there. I have that same motor on my 20 aluminum and I push 37 mph and need to make a prop adjustment and I think I'll get a few more hp out of it.

Speed (wind) + gravity will drive water down/off the window.

Looking good! I was just at Chad's shop the end of July and saw your boat in cut-pieces form...I think they had just unloaded the truck before I had arrived.

Re: 22' Aluminum Abbott fishing boat
If it were 6-8 ft longer I might take it off your hands. There are people looking for project boats, so I don't think you'd have a problem selling it...but it comes down to what price you're willing to part with it for.
