Re: WTS 2006 Pacific Boat V2325HT
Congrats on the sale spersky! Yes, it is a lot of boat for the inland SE Rivers and small Lakes but it would shine in the big Reservoirs like Guntersville, Lanier, Eufaula, and Hartwell just to name a few.

Re: WTS 2006 Pacific Boat V2325HT
Oh please......"yer azz ain't buying no Pacific boat". As I am still without, why would you say that? Yes, my circumstances are challenging but not insurmountable as I do have a Wife who has her own agenda. :skillet: Using the price sheets you and Pacific shared, that boat is a steal and ...

Re: Steel is Hanging
At least one can find .45 ammo here.....forget the target calibers though. I so wished I could return to the rural lifestyle as here in the 'burbs you can't shoot at all and the nearest indoor range is prohibitively expensive for just plinking.

Re: Help with determining how best to mount OB
Thanks Kevin, those of us not in the biz have to throw something out there to see if it will stick. This came about as I was admiring various Bay type boat styles and noticed such a variety of mounting applications. After going back and examining the testing of the various offerings I can better app...

Help with determining how best to mount OB
How do you calculate the most efficient mounting solution is the question. And how do you know if you need to employ a jack plate or transom set back? I'm trying to understand how builders determine when to utilize the transom setups they employ, like Wooldridge using a literal extension to achieve ...

First figures from the ME 40'/trip 557's
Recall the pic from the MIBS thread and if you read/post on THT the rather boring vid is linked there. The break-in process began and this behemoth cruised at 72-73 mph and they went to their rev limit and got 81 mph. What wasn't shared were the rpm's at those speeds though I believe they said the 7...

Re: That Pissah Tuna Show...
Folks cutting across their lines is very poor form and rec boaters SHOULD understand and know this. As the traffic cop says, ignorance is no excuse. Now as for 'spots'......first come is the operative rule isn't it? But anchoring close is again evidence of ignorance but the one aggrieved has no reco...

Re: Honda Yamaha Suzuki Merc
Jetty, the 7's run on 87 octane which might surprise ya. Hope you guys were spared the impact of the severe weather. Since the 7's enjoy a greater HP to weight ratio than current OB's along with rumored greater economy at cruise then they will sell. And just like everything else, they will come down...

Yes, the chilluns appeared to be handling their humbling poorly. That drama they tried to create when he had to remove the line from the prop was pretty cheezy. Decent fish though, especially after seeing that minnow the old guys took in.

Re: Honda Yamaha Suzuki Merc
As I have such a tiny budget to work with now the list of compromises vs. the must haves is small since what is for sale nearby are freshwater boats of all description at bargain prices. May well end up with an aluminum jon again since that is what I fished out of most of my life. But it won't be a ...
