The boat show has wrapped up and the green push was a hit. Thanks to all of you for your input a couple of months ago. Press releases went out, photos were taken and articles were in print. A lot of good press for alloy!

Another very important reason, not previously mentioned, to have a raft on board...

An inflated raft (as compared to a bobbing head) gives a person in need of being plucked out of the sea an amazing amount of visibility.

Could be the difference of being located by a search and rescue team or not.

Interesting thread... I just happen to deal with all of our raft sales in our shop... Here are your most basic considerations when picking the right raft for you and the boating conditions you find yourself in most often... USCG Approved or Recreational: USCG approved rafts are heavier, more expensi...

Metal boats good for the environment?

Our Spring boat show is going "green" (kind of funny since it is a powerboat show). They have asked vendors for info on any items that they may have that would be friendly to the environment. I think my Black Lab is the perfect fuel efficient item to add to their "green" list. So...

If the shows were tomorrow I would be bringing a Black Lab 23 ST (that's the 23' model with the "super top" - looks a lot like the picure of the boat in the upper left corner of this site except no rails and I am pretty sure that is the 26' model). I will update you on what we will have at...

Got a 1974 23' Sea Craft (she's my baby) and I have introduced a 23ST Black Lab to the family in the past year. I have to agree that it is very hard to compare the two. But, I am also a believer that there is no one boat that suits my (or anyones) every need on the water so I think you should have b...

The only part of my boat that gets warm in the sun is my forward anchor locker hatch that has a gasket around it and some pretty aggressive non-skid. Otherwise, as stated earlier alloy is not a heat accumulator. So during the summer months when the water is warmer my boat is very comfortable to the ...
