Re: The Journey Begins

Hey Zues she looks great buddy. I can see it now. I just can't afford all those rods  !!! Thank you SIR for the offer on the room and I would be more than happy to accommodate you with whatever you need to help you through that hip "revision". I look forward to seeing Ken's new sp...

Re: The Journey Begins

We need tapatalk back. No thanks, that screwy app knocked me off the site for a month and I wasn't even using it! Oh come on Chaps, it's so easy even a Canuck can use it :nutkick: I love tapa talk now too. The boat looks awesome John. I'm heading down South again this year to the show and hope to m...

Re: Aerohead guys are back in business...

Thanks for the insight Chtucker. I edited my post about the designer. Was Travis behind Aerohead? This kickstarter seems flaky at best imo. I look at a guy like Doug from Northwest Aluminum Craft, with no website, very little advertising in magazines etc. and he is run off his feet! That is a boat b...

Re: Aerohead guys are back in business...

This is not Aerohead. Aerohead is dead. The design's are nice but the price tag is rediculous and past history is flaky (read Areohead).
Cheers,
John

Re: The improved fish camp thread

Update I missed posting a few weekends ago. Probably due to the tuna buzz lol. The first weekend that Tidal Chaos and crew came up to head out on their maiden tuna trip we built some trusses for the new to me trailer. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii297/Coal_miner/Salmon%20Beach/Salmon%20Beach%...

Re: The improved fish camp thread

Yeah, ya need at least one large Shipping container for at least secure, waterproof-fireproof-idiotproof, hurricaneproof, storage. A guy down here built a 3200 square foot house out of them. Seriously Cool. Just a tad more bad azz than Welders steel house. If painted in CAMO colors... :joecool: Whe...

Re: The improved fish camp thread

Had a great weekend up at the lot with Tidal Chaos and Firelight. We had a bit of a late start Friday afternoon due to having to tow the new to me trailer up there myself. My buddy who was going to tow it up there felt bad and bought me a used fifth wheel hitch and dropped it off at the shop just af...

Re: The improved fish camp thread

I'm trying to get up there again this week to get the tanks finally back filled in and get some 3/4 crush put on the drive way. Once this is done I can lay down some old mill screen below the trailers so nothing grows up under them. I can then start hooking things up. This weekend the Hydro pole goe...

Re: The improved fish camp thread

Looks good John. How big of a cabin are you putting up? No cabin for many years Pete. I'm putting the old trailer back on and a new to me 5th wheel. I traded a guy a hard top for his Grady for the trailer. I'm painting the trailers and putting small trusses and sheet metal roofs on them so I...

Re: The improved fish camp thread

John, is that place several miles off the highway that leads out to Uky? If yes I went out there years ago thinking about getting a lot but finally decided I lived too far away. Damn that is a drive but what a neat place. Yes it is. You should have bought one if it was awhile ago. Some people have ...

Re: The improved fish camp thread

Lot's of work last weekend. We cleared, hauled, installed, and almost did it all lol. Our buddy said we should put in a perimeter drain trench along the back and lower side of the property to keep the lot dry. I took his advice. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii297/Coal_miner/Salmon%20Beach/Salm...

I hired the local guy with a bigger machine to lift the tanks in place. They weigh 14000 lbs!!! Our buddy's machine is good for 10,000. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii297/Coal_miner/Salmon%20Beach/Salmon%20Beach%20Projects/IMG_4543_zps26a15140.jpg Took the split up old snag and lined the drive...

Re: Last couple of evenings in my home waters

It didn't look like it was going to be a nice evening earlier in the day but that wasn't going to deter us from giving it a whirl. Last night Bart, Jeff, and I tried fishing the Spoil Grounds to start and caught a few pcod out there. We moved in closer to Neck Point and fished the same area from the...

Re: Last couple of evenings in my home waters

Got out this evening with Bart and jeffywestcoast. It was a great night out on the water and was nice to meet Jeff again after quite a few years. We got lots of bs'ing and fishing in. Marked a few bait balls on the sounder and managed a couple of twin 8 lbers. A few shakers as well. Not many boats o...
