Welcome to the Forum!
The circled item is the fuel tank vent... The black plastic cover is missing I think that its made by Perko.
Please reach out if you have any questions, I've owned the same boat for years
Enjoy!

Hi Sal,
We keep our boat in Quonnie pond. My kids all sail out of NESS so we are around Stonnington all the time. What type of boat do you have?
Cheers

I was always told to mount anodes directly to the aluminum, Whenever I change mine I sand and clean to get a good connection!

Re: Zinc Chromate Primer
Yes I agree with trying the "Aluminum Zincs" sacrificial anodes ! I was chewing through the motor anodes on one of my boats but I switched and now I replace the sacrificial hull anodes every two years and haven't had to replace a motor anode in at least 4 years. I'm on Quonnie Pond and fre...

Re: Pacific Rubber Bumpers
Sorry for the Late response. Yes they are the same ones as McMaster. It looks like Pacific used some silicone between the hull and the bumper, Lots of tef-gel, a threaded hole and a nylock nut backer. They are definitely NOT stainless. I might just use a plastic washer/spacer when I replace them. I ...

Re: Pacific Rubber Bumpers
Tfitz Nice solution I'm sure it looks great. I emailed Julie and she said that they don't use this type any more. but McMaster has them https://www.mcmaster.com/9377k53 They just screw in. But I'm concerned about corrosion being steel. I'm thinking that a nylon washer and lots of tef gel might be ok...

Pacific Rubber Bumpers
Hi Folks,
Does anyone know how these "bumpers" are attached and where I can get replacements.
I don't want to bug Pacific, if I don't have to, for such a small item.
Cheers

Re: Bilge keel / strake / anode identification question
Welcome to the site and thanks for posting the photos! I'm not sure if those are anodes or not. However it looks like you might have carpeted bunks on your trailer. The pressure treated wood and salt water can cause corrosion on the bottom of you hull. There are some folks here who have experienced ...

WOW! Thanks Chaps  for going to all the trouble of running the test. I wish powerboat reports was still published, you could be one of their testers. I'm looking forward to hearing your findings! I will try the Flexdel Armor and it is actually a lot more affordable than the Petit Ultima Ec...

Bottom Paint ??? What are you using???
Hi Folks I did a search and I haven't found any current information... I need to repaint one my boats bottoms, I still have a little Pettit Ultima eco from a couple years ago. It has been to be a good two season solution for me in the north east, but my preferred supplier is not selling it anymore. ...

Re: to windlass or not to windlass??
Since you are on the fence for a windlass, I would at least have Pacific run the wires for a windlass. Alternately, have you looked into the salt water trolling motors which can be connected to your GPS to hold your position. A friend of mine has one on a 22' boat and loves it! It is much easier and...

Re: Electrolysis
Hi Kevin The dealer said that he sees it occasionally that salt & corrosion builds up behind this plate where the lower motor mounts are and a quarter sized piece of the cover pops out or it cracks. here is a couple of threads about it from a different board: https://www.etecownersgroup.com/post...

I don't think that my 115 is propped quite right I only get 5300 rpm... but it tops out at about 30 knots and gets on plane quickly. I have the full hardtop.

Re: Electrolysis
So it turns out that my mystery problem is just lower motor mounts. The motors catch salt behind the motor mounts and actually pop a hole in the mount cover. Now I'm thinking about upgrading to a 150hp since Envinrude is currently offering a 10 year warranty!
