Re: Stretching a SAFEBoat

Hopefully what we have done will work fine as it should be compatible with phpBB. Happy New Year and keep the Pics co...

Re: anode test

What some people do to hide pitting is to bondo or fill the pits then paint over, it would require soda blasting the paint off to clean aluminum to inspect properly.
And of course check the INSIDE of the hull too.

Re: anode test

If you can't see the anode then it/they cant see the water. Looks like there are none on the props shafts either. You are looking for pitting in the hull and if they just painted it they are either covering up a bad hull or don't know what they are doing. Is the marina HOT [current in the water] whe...

Re: My new North River Seahawk Offshore 24'

Helps shed water and helps keep the Glare off of the glass [read, better visibility while on the water and there is more forward head room].

Re: Sandblasting small aluminum parts

If your Sand Blasting your parts try to make sure the media was not used on Steel as the steel particles can impregnate themselves into your aluminum and you will end up with rust spots.

Photo bucket uploads work very well here.

Re: Out of gas

Bingo
It helps to have the boat level for sure.
When I fill my 23 i watch the fuel gauge and when it starts getting close to full I slow down to the 1st notch on the fuel handle .
I do have two vents on my 2325 [115 gallon tank] and if i go full bore until it's full she will burp fuel all over.

Re: Out of gas

She also said to check the fuel fill hose to make sure there's no extra "droop". If the hose is to long it makes it tough to fill completely.
