Thanks Kevin. Was just taking a flyer on the off chance that someone up that way had some first hand knowledge of those particular ports and charters operating there. Have done some web research and have some leads.

I am taking my family on a cruise in Alaska this May and would like some advice from locals on best prospects for ocean fishing. Clamp on rod holder

I'm looking for a clamp on rod holder that will work on the rectangular rail that Pacific uses on the transom. Can anyone point me in the direction of something that might work? Have only been able to find them for round pipe of various diameters. Thanks

On the front seat question, not sure why they do it like that. I didn't specify. I did request the hardened chine and was told that it is now part of the standard build.

New pacific 26 ST

Finally taking the plunge after hanging around here for a couple of years. I ordered the super top and extended the top a14" and slanted the windshield forward. It will be powered be twin suzuki 150s. I'll post some build picks in a subsequent post.

Maybe a stupid newby question, but why not an aluminum threaded plug in an aluminum threaded hole? Wouldn't use of the same material prevent bi-metallic corrosion?
