Re: Wanted: an old hull / project boat
I have a great one that I am thinking of getting rid of. It's a 15'6" Hewescraft. I was going to remove the middle seat and make it a center console. I got as far as getting a used center console but never removed the center seat. I ripped out the rotten transom and bought some Baltic birch ply...

Re: Boat mod help?
Thanks fellas. I was hoping there would be some kind of solvent I could use since I figured scraping alone was going to be a waste of time. I will look up Goo Gone and report back.

Boat mod help?
The time has come for the Salmon Master (19' JetCraft) to become a more practical fishing vessel. I have decided to look into removing the carpet from the sides (gets and stays wet, weird green things grow on it) and getting them sprayed with zolatone or other coating. And I remade floorboards (mari...

Re: Advice Needed

I have owned 5 boats since then, both NON ALLOY and alloy. T...

Re: V21HT Hardtop Pacific Skiff
leemer- I did not check to see if there were functional flaps but other boats I have been on had ball valves and they did a decent job of preventing inflow. The boat was in the water at the owner's dock and I didn't look at that as I was more concerned with the motor, etc. The 150 Honda and 9.9 kick...

Re: V21HT Hardtop Pacific Skiff
Not going to work for me unfortunately. I have never ridden in a smoother welded hull and it blows the doors off of my 19' Salmon Master. Weird thing was the self-draining holes let in a surprising amount of water with me, a buddy, and the owner standing in it and I don't mean all of us in the stern...
