Unless you have lots of money, buy your own gasket from CR Laurence and have Tacoma Glass cut and polish and temper the panes. Savings of 50% + vs. using a "marine glass" company.

I gotta ask..you dont have to tell..whats this hull likely to cost all said and done? (the aluminum & welding portion only). Looks like a fantastic boat..but looks like over $100K to me (out of my budget!!

Its called Epoxy DuraPrime, Marine Grade. It has the zinc omitted from it, a lot of prior powder coated stuff had zinc in the primer (that helps conductivity for spraying) but obviously zinc is like an anode..hence failure at sea. I'm convinced it will last well, SafeBoats has done it for years and ...

If you have the time or patience to go full tilt, i agree with the sand blast - it gives a mechanical anchor bond.
