Re: aluminum prices????
If you think Aluminum is bad, check out steel. Its jumped bigtime already. Its great all the jobs coming back to America and stuff getting more expensive, so profit margins can increase, but now try finding quality workers who are willing to use their hands and do all this hard, non-techy non comput...

Re: Recent Chine Extrusion Experience
kmorin, Just like Yelp, i think it would be best if you did mention the make. Your description paints a perfect picture i can clearly envision it. But as boat builders, we are all aware that submitting our product to the public eye (consumer) yields scrutiny. Perhaps this was a one off mistake on th...

Greetings aluminum boat gurus, I wanted to make my CAD drawing / lofting services available to anyone who needs some help with design / drawing / visualizing your design. I can do "unroll" for hull sides, factor in brake press K factor, and other nifty things to help speed up your build. We also hav...

Re: Stretching a SAFEBoat
Also yes-instead of stretching a SAFE, have Inventech (life proof boats) make you a new one. They are amazing boats and priced very well when you look at how they're built. www.lifeproofboats.com It is owned by the owner of SAFE boats

Re: Stretching a SAFEBoat
I tend to agree, there are lots of opensource free software forum programs that allow you to attach a jpeg image. On this site you basically have to convert the image to code to get the image to display. Not the end of the world but can be frustrating.

Re: Pilot house window replacements
Unless you have lots of money, buy your own gasket from CR Laurence and have Tacoma Glass cut and polish and temper the panes. Savings of 50% + vs. using a "marine glass" company.

Re: 25' Wooldrige gets powder coated
Its called Epoxy DuraPrime, Marine Grade. It has the zinc omitted from it, a lot of prior powder coated stuff had zinc in the primer (that helps conductivity for spraying) but obviously zinc is like an anode..hence failure at sea. I'm convinced it will last well, SafeBoats has done it for years and ...

If you have the time or patience to go full tilt, i agree with the sand blast - it gives a mechanical anchor bond.
