Re: Blowing out windshields???
Always insist your forward facing windows are made of laminated glass. The correct application in this case is: 6MM (1/4") TEMPERED glass on the outer layer; 3MM PVB or RESIN "interlayer" 3MM (1/8) float glass interior. The reason for this formula: 1. The 6MM tempered outside resists ...

Recent build at Silverback
This was a fun work skiff, 18' with self bailing deck, step chines, and delta pad. Very impressed with the Tohatsu 115 on the back, we'd never used them before, it was very quiet and ran amazing. More pictures on the website at www.silverbackmarine.com https://ibb.co/pj5qfpY <a href="https://ib...

Thanks kmorin,
On point, and well noted. Yes agree we could add more fuel capacity easily. I'm thinking the boat would be around the $400K mark sparse, and then up from there depending on the options and electronics? PM me your email and i'll send more detailed prints.

Re: Pacific Rubber Bumpers
As an OEM we've used Tessilmare, its reasonably priced and easy to install. Regards the fastening issues with galvanic corrosion, its worth tapping the hull sides so you can thread in an aluminum fastener to avoid dis-similar metals. Another way you can reduce corrosion, is paint a strip exactly the...

Smoothing curves in SketchUp
Kmorin, I was intrigued by your brief comment about smoothing curves in sketchup, changing them from faceted "segmented curves" to smooth curves. What method have you found most successful for this? I've exported DXF's from Sketchup into Rhino and essentially traced over them, but thats ti...

Re: Workboats Northwest | Silverback Shop Pics
Ran a Wooldridge SuperCub today. Definitely a notably stable, deep, wide and good performing skiff, very beamy yet less than 14' long. No wasted space on the mothership, yet lots of room in the skiff. LOVE IT!

Here is also Umpqua boats, who powder coats. There are many others.
Im certainly not saying everyone should powder coat - just that there are many highly reputable builders in the industry who are very happy with the results that have switched over from wet paint.
