Re: Feedback needed on a chambered boat design

Interestingly, this thing has been almost wildly popular so far. Today we sold a 14' version, so I guess smaller sizes in this design are appealing from a safety perspective. chtucker, if you want a 10' I think we can do that, would it be 20" or 25" transom? same width, or narrower? email me ...

Re: Feedback needed on a chambered boat design

Ideally I wouldnt do foam, rather just an airtight chamber- but I'm within driving distance of the local Coast Guard inspector, and if I dont pass, we get it on our record-literally. We asked him why other builders get away with not having to have foam galore on the less than 20' boats- the answer w...

Feedback needed on a chambered boat design

Hey everyone, and especiall kmorin because of your experience- We've had a lot of people asking Silverback if they can make a 16' or so aluminum chambered boat with a 25" transom and foam filled chambers. We've come up with some drawings and renderings that will work on our CNC machines. However I'd...

Re: Lincoln 350mp vs miller 350p?

That is helpful Kevin. I'll keep in touch with you, Lincoln has agreed to bring some demo machines to our factory a week from this Monday. I'll do some side by side passes against the miller and see how we go. Also gandrfab, I agree with what you say. Everyone's beads have their own unique touch. I ...

Re: Lincoln 350mp vs miller 350p?

Thanks Kevin, Thats good insight. We use the Miller 350P's in our shop, and our guys have become frustrated over recent times over the seeming changes in performance. For example you might be welding 1/8 on 1/8 fillet welds very happily and then suddently 10 minutes later its as if all the settings ...

Welder needed

If you are able to weld a nice run of dimes with a Miller 350P and are interested in helping on a small skiff project, we need part time help for this boat as it is a specialty project. PM me for details.

Have you seen the work at RMC? I was just commenting on the zolatone question. RMC sandblasts and powder coats entire boats. Do it once and for all.

I would bring it to RMC and have them do a sandblast, epoxy duraprime, and topcoat powder coat.
