My guess is in some areas the Verizon signal is poor or slow..... as in a dead zone.

I do like the Hercules Blanks and off the shelf Rods. They are light sensitive and responsive. I feel they can catch the Majority of species in Alaska..... Those Salmon/Sleeper Sharks and Super Barndoor Halibut would leave me wishing for something more. I plan on wrapping a GTS 70 XH Hercules blank ...

AKcat has the experience 300's are the way to go. Furuno Navnet 3d Black Box (since I am spending your money ) I am probably shorter than Goatrams grand kids ............Tall rails are good.
