Up early this morning and for the first time in a long time visited THT. Saw one of those highly read pages with a complaint about a company: http://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-forum/386758-dont-use-coastal-marine-leaning-post-com-desert-customs-coastal-marine-gangways-3.html and started reading. ...

Funny what happens when you are googling Moose Boats and do a typo to Moore Boats:
http://www.mooreboat.com
Almost flat bottomed so not my taste but there are some cool thoughts/ideas here.
I especially like the windshield treatment on the 28'.

Re: Our Friend Jay Perrotta
Christ ! I saw the heading and it looks like I died! Dearly beloved..... After something like 13 years I made the decision to exit the boat business. Headwinds were just too strong for too long. The folks in Texas are continuing with Rock Salt and Black Lab while Julie and Dan are doing well at Paci...

Re: Aluminum Boston Whaler
Like the picture Chaps posted above Boston Whaler (pre-Brunswick) had an aluminum boat division that made boats in Marysville, WA (same town as Pacific Skiffs is in now) My friend Paul Hureaux (subsequent founder of Maritime Skiff) who used to work for Whalers commercial and government division back...

Love to!
The boats are semi-custom so we can design your boat with you. House, hold, fish-ability, etc...
When do we start?

Black Lab Marine - New Lower Prices!!
As many of you may know - Welder just finished a visit to the Black Lab and Rock Salt facilities in Texas.
He must have said something because the ownership has decided to significantly drop the pricing on new Pacifics!
If you are interested please call Aaron - 361-243-6044.
Thanks!

Re: 19' Pacific - Long Island, NY
I believe that he did not originally have the 3/4 hardtop but did have the powder-coated console.
The rear supports on that hardtop need some reinforcement so that they don't sway....not done by Pacific.

Re: RockSalt with another Custom
For those of you who might be interested in how this process works - we had an original semi-custom design and now we are refining the boat. As I said before he chose to go with twin Verado 250's rather than the diesel solution. The aft deck space was a bit too small so we lengthened the boat by abo...

Re: RockSalt with another Custom
Napa - we've only built a small handful of boats and nothing like the one pictured. As I said we have set "hulls" but design and fabricate the deck and any superstructure to the customers liking! Dave - the boat will be living in Maine and chasing charlie the tuna. It will be available to ...

Re: Pacific Boats/Skiffs Recent Deliveries
Chaps, Dan at Pacific is very, very conservative about davits. As you obviously well know reach out and over the side of a small boat and pulling up weights is a pretty tricky thing. Dan will take the desired amount of "lift" and make a davit that will exceed that load by some serious fact...

Re: RockSalt with another Custom
Thanks for posting the pics, Welder! For those who are interested these represent "options" that we presented to a customer. He has a seaside house with huge windows and wanted to carry the same "feel" onto his new boat. We discussed the boat for a long time - going back and fort...

Re: New to alloy site
IMG_2749 (Medium).jpg Here's a couple of shots of a blasted boat. It's not pretty like a paint job but it does have a great no-nonsense/military feel to it. As I'm sure you know aluminum is a very, very reactive metal and it oxidizes. The oxide layer that forms protects the metal from further corro...
