Re: What prop for a honda 225/pacific v2325

Welder, what prop are you running on your bf225?What is the top speed that you can get?I took a 23ft with the 225 honda for a test run and saw speeds right around 55mph. I hear you on the extra power, the 150 was a little under power with full tank and 4 people on board.I do charters, and tournaments...

Re: What prop for a honda 225/pacific v2325

I was getting 5500-5600 on the original prop. When we reproped it last week the new prop was 6000.But the motor will still not get up on plane in relatively small seas.

Re: Thought someone might be interested

I have the same setup as this.My boat tops out at 42mph wot.The only issue that I have is when the fuel tank 120 gal is full and 6 people onboard it takes off rather sluggish.I recently installed the lenco trim tabs and this has helped to get on plane quicker. You cannot beat the 150 for fuel consumt...

Sure thing captain dave,I will get some up tomorrow.I use mostly downriggers and planer boards. This type of fishing is all trolling,we just have to figure out what depth the fish are and get our lures into that zone.I wish it was only that easy.

I used no sealants in my mounting procedure.I drilled and tapped the motor transom bracket and attached it this way.The front of the transducer is about 1/4 inch below the hull. The back is at about a 5 degree angle forward.I was going to use a epoxy to fill in the void between the hull and transduce...

Yes Alloy toy those are planer board mast.We use the boards for trolling. This enables us to runn 3-4 rods off each side of the boat spread out over a 150ft path. Now that Lake Erie has been invaded by zebra mussels the water has become much clearer and the fish tend to be boat shy. Here is a close up ...
