Re: Anyone need a Patrol Boat?

$350,000 for a 28ft center console and twin 225's?

They're smoking crack. I don't care how easy it is to rest your weapon out the window.

Re: Transom savers...any science here?

I'm a bit of a lurker, but thought I add something here... The block of wood has always been a great tool for preventing strain on the trim/tilt mechanism, but doesn't do much for supporting the weight of the engine on the transom. If you are looking to relieve some weight from the transom, you'll n...

Re: ColdWater 3300 WalkAround

Brian W, we will help our customers sell their ColdWaters when they come up sale. Last one was 3 years ago. Do you live in the Sitka area? Three years? I didn't realize it had been that long. Nice of you to do that for your customers. Yes, I live in Sitka. I've always admired your boats, even thoug...

Look forward to seeing it in the harbor.

Didn't your company used to list used boats on the website? Or, perhaps I'm thinking of another boat builder.

Re: Prayers for fellow AABer

Truly a crying shame. My prayers and best wishes go out to his family. I recall his postings with much affection and appreciation. A sad say for all, a sad day for his fellow mariners. Thank the good Lord he was doing something he loved, with people he loved. Another special prayer for those persona...

On my boat, the offset cabin is the way to go. Otherwise the cabin would be too small, and the walkways down the sides would be too narrow.

With a bit more beam, I'd consider centered, if for no other reason than it looks better.

Typically in these parts... a 'barge' is an unpowered vessel. We'd call those landing craft or drop bows.

Kelper, You know the deal, just treat like we did on the helo's. Your going to have to pull those fasteners and coat them with something. As far as terminals, remember all the corrosion sprays we used to use, well I've been soaking my new engine the same way. The wiring on my boat is 10 years old, s...

I'm running a '93 F250 with the old IDI 7.3l turbo diesel. The back fuel tank needs replaced, and once that's done I'm going to run WMO (waste motor oil) rather than veggy oil in that tank.

Sorry for the delay in replying.

We live in S.E. Alaska. Just about all the hunting up here involves boats. It makes for a great combo, but the tides can be hard to deal with when going ashore. Just about everyone has been left high and dry at least once, it comes with the territory.
