Re: Not mine, but wanted to share 28' Armstrong mono

I think I will go out and pet my boat, and give her a few gallons of ethanol free premium for a treat. Lately I have been thinking again about down sizing. Unlikely there will be a new boat in my future. I repeat: HOLY COW.

Re: Not mine, but wanted to share 28' Armstrong mono

Is that anywhere near the value of this boat? Just curious, because I own the exact boat with a single 350, and had no idea it's replacement is now a quarter mil. HOLY COW!

Re: 33'x14' Midjet with pitting?

If an aluminum plate boat has just minor pitting, can they be handled with just a nice 2 part barrier coat and new bottom paint?

Nice boat. Is there a stove, head? Is the kicker on a tie bar, or an auto pilot?

Re: 26' Ironwood Cabin

John

I have a 27 to transom and 29 to end of motor platform x 9.5 now, and thinking of going down to a 24 or 26 x 8.5 or 8.75. I love the boat I have, but thinking of a little smaller, and a little less tall. Present boat needs 14 foot shop door when it is on the trailer.

Re: Yamaha t25 25 inch shaft?

Is a 25 inch shaft on a kicker absolutely necessary??? I personally would like to put an EFI kicker on my next boat to get rid of the carburetor hassles. Suzuki is the only company that makes a 9.9, 25 inch shaft in EFI. Every other company starts EFI at 25HP & up but only has 20 inch shafts. P...

Yamaha t25 25 inch shaft?

Is the Yamaha FT25FETX available in the US? This motor could be a great kicker for larger boats?

Glen

What would be the cost for a 23 outfitted and rigged like this one including galv or alum trailer? You can PM me if you want.

Re: Pacific Boats Cutty Cabin?

There was a Crozier 22 on the Seattle Craigs list. Lots of folks that can build you a nice boat in the NW. What you are looking for is pretty popular in the NW. I like Armstrong, but they ain't inexpensive these days.

Re: Aerohead guys are back in business...

How does one handle the money with an unproven company? Is the deposit and progess payment cash held in a trust account held by a bank or some other entity until the boat is completed and accepted? I have always dealt with a company that was actively used by others, and who I knew, so I felt comfort...

Re: Twin engine dual station controls

I have had cable, both twin and single with upper and lower stations in previous boats. My current boat has a single 350 with electronic controls in the pilot house and the cockpit. The electronic controls are much more positive, and easier to use. I can't imagine ever going back to cable. It would ...

Re: New Boat

I went and looked at a 26' Weldcraft yesterday just to keep my options open. While the fit and finish were reasonable, the layout and overall package paled in comparison to the Seawolf. I am probably ruined on production boats now. I should be getting info back from Armstrong soon and no word from ...

Re: New Boat

Thanks for the post ruggit. That is the kind of firsthand knowledge I was fishing for. How about some more data like fuel burn at cruise, top speed and fuel burn at fast cruise which I would guess is around 33-35mph. Wish I could say I paid attention to the fuel burn etc, but I don't burn enough fu...

Re: New Boat

I probably should have a conversation with the Coldwater folfk even though I am pretty sure they are out of my budget. 6 years ago I spoke with Bruce Regarding a 31 build but ended up getting a clorox bottle built. Time to turn the page to another chapter now. On another note, what are the opinions...

Re: Pitting on my new to me boat!!

I may have owned this boat some years ago. Bought it in Anacortes, kept it for a little while, and sold it to a man in Sidney so we could purchase a larger boat. Does the seat have a hydraulic ram to move it fore and aft? Also wondering if anyone put trim tabs on the boat? Wish I could remember what...
