Re: Northwind Marine 40' Israeli police boat
Sorry no more information about these boats after I posted this thread. I do know that there is a second boat being built right now.
If your local I am sure you can arrange a visit to see all the boats they are working on.

The customer is making several changes to meet his needs so atleast one more trip will be needed before its ready for delivery. I saw them coming up river last week...

Make sure you are grounded to the skeg when you start welding ... If you ground to the main out drive you could have issues with your bearings arcing ..

Re: Northwind Marine NOAA 30' Dive boat
A little bonus.. They were just putting plate on the ground for this one when I took the first photos above. When I was working for them they built these for doing under pier inspections. http://lh5.ggpht.com/_25NfBa6P3yY/TD-7I58KRaI/AAAAAAAADTk/mmAmXE839qk/s720/2010-07-15%2007.02.19.jpg http://lh3....

Re: From the good old days..
Don't get me started on the pooper stuff. I was sent out to replace a macerater pump on a yacht one time. There was a main black water tank mid way in the hull and a smaller tank back aft. The aft pump would transfer black water to the larger forward tank on a lvl switch. Well the aft pump went out ...

Tug & Salvage Mini tug wow
I received the latest copy of Tug & Salvage and saw this real cool Mini Tug made for training exorcises. Link to designer and some photo's below. (quoted from article) The BRAtt will be an ultra-compact but fully operational training vessel, configured as a Z-drive tugboat...this is NOT a scale ...

Re: Another great find..
Not sure if it matters but it looked as if this is a boat built in 2006 according to the numbers on the back. It was in very good condition for that year boat. I suppose it could have spent some time on land or in fresh water but mat it was clean.
