Re: So ... anywho how does Pacific skiff compare to other aluminum boat builders?
SINCE I m on this thread or maybe I should start a new one. I do t see hardly any plate boats on lake Erie. They are more popular on the west coast. WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THIS? Lund AND OTHER RIVETED BOATS ARE FAIRLY COMMON. But mostly glass. My wife wants to know why I have to go out to Washingto...

I would try a side grinder with 80 grit, Pacific uses Farwest paint http://www.farwestpaint.com on their decks, I spoke to Farwest a while back they will sell you the paint direct and can mix it to any Sherwin Williams color, you can go right over the existing paint just get rid of any loose paint. ...

One 3 Powerboats posted about this boat recently on IG, I believe they said they started at $10k with a 20hp.

Hard to find an aluminum self bailing skiff that small, Pacific 1925 is the closest I can think of but it is 19'.

How does the 115 perform on the 2025? I have a Honda 90 on my 1925, no t-top and I top out at 36mph. I have been thinking of upgrading to a new 115 or 150 Mercury Pro XS.

Re: Electrical precautions when welding on hull
Hi Kevin,
Thanks for all the info, my plan was the buy some .250 5086 and bend the brackets I need then have them welded to the hull, I am thinking about a couple for trim tabs and one for a Power Pole.

Thanks for the info, I will probably just disconnect the batteries and have it welded and hope for the best. On the welding topic, what type of wire should be used for welding on the Pacific 5086 hull? Thanks again.

Electrical precautions when welding on hull
I am thinking of having some brackets welded to the stern on my Pacific 1925 for trim tabs and a Power Pole, should I do anything to protect the electronics on the boat? Thanks.

Re: What's it worth? 2007 Pacific 26' HT
Just a off the cuff estimate, $55k. 26' are pretty rare, I think the 23' is the sweet spot for the Pacific boats, the smaller ones and larger ones are less desirable IMO.

Re: Rigid Inflatable Aluminum Boat $ VS $$$
I would have no issue buying that boat, there is little that can go wrong it. Not sure how handy you are but I would be confident in buying that boat cleaning it up, rewiring if needed but it is probably done to a pretty high standard from the factory so 12 years should not be an issue. repower with...
