Re: Seawolf 31' Build
Chaps, I was planning on getting in touch with you as well while I am there at least to stop in and say hi, and meet face to face. If all works out, I may stay a night there in Bainbridge so that I can see as many places as possible before I get the family down there in the spring. I don't think I w...

Re: Seawolf 31' Build
Pete, I am not the one to give battery advice on how much is enough. I do have a friend with a Seasport Voyager who was complaining that he did not have enough capacity, but when we compared them, my new boat was going to have about 4x the capacity that he has, so this seemed pretty good as a starti...

Re: Seawolf 31' Build
Pete, Yes, I think the table will be the same, but I don't think that part has been done yet. As for the batteries, here is what is included in the standard package: 2ea-GC 2B House batteries and 1ea HD 31 Engine battery with heavy duty selector switches and automatic charging relay They claim that ...

Re: Seawolf 31' Build
We are talking about near the end of January for delivery of the boat at this point. They have been slowed down a bit by all of the bad weather, and I have told them I am not in a big rush. I would like to pick it up and see the Seattle boat show, but I would also rather them not be in a rush to fin...

Re: Shipping a trailer from FL to WA
No worries Chaps. There is an Alaskan dealer for these that I had been talking to last summer when I was thinking I was going to ship the boat up here, and I was able to look at one locally. I ended up getting a better deal in WA from the ad that you pointed out since he was trying to unload his inv...

Re: Shipping a trailer from FL to WA
Sorry I never updated you guys on this. I ended up going with the local dealer of Hi-Tech trailers in Washington. He had a 15K aluminum trailer that was left over from the summer he gave me a deal on, and he agreed to store it until my boat was ready in January and then deliver it for me. I would ha...

Re: Seawolf 31' Build
Pete,
I am not sure what the product is. It is about 1"-1.5" thick. You can see it in one of the pictures in the last set I uploaded. It has kind of a silver mylar backing that is to the interior of the boat.

Re: Seawolf 31' Build
Thanks Pete, I am not completely sure what I am looking at, but I think you have it right. I will not be going down again before sea trials, so the pictures are quite nice. Overall I am very happy with the quality of the work. I am lucky that they are doing a nice job installing things, since I did ...

Thanks Alloytoy,
You know, in a way I didn't want to add these pictures, since the last post to this thread was from Marty just last week. I do really like the picture of his boat at the top of the forum, and hope that the administrators leave it up there forever.

Cody, I am shocked and so sorry to hear of your loss. I only know of you through your Dad and the video you did recently for him. While I did not know your Dad well, I am sure he was an incredibly generous person. We corresponded several times about the boat that I am building that was similar to hi...

Re: Seawolf 31' Build
Welder, If you are referring to the November 18th photos, those where the ones that I took when I was onsite with my camera. I did notice those when I downloaded them. It was raining that day, so maybe it was a bit of water on my lens or some dirt or something. The camera usually takes really good p...

Re: Seawolf 31' Build
Welder, If it makes you feel better, I do feel bad about getting such a nice ride that I am certainly not worthy of. If I cannot get fishing partners with this boat without flying them in from out of state, I am going to have to take a hard look at myself. Marty, Good idea on the video camera. I hav...

Re: Seawolf 31' Build
Here are the latest pictures. The radar arch is folding, so I don't think the height of the cockpit light will be a problem. I am sure they must have put it up that high for a reason. One thing that I am having them add is some insulation between the fish holds and the fuel tank, since others have s...

Re: Scupper Valve Ideas
jrogers, The thing about some scuppers and maybe ones like those on that Cricket boat is that water doesn't leave fast enough. Some are too tight, and then with age can curl, and then don't work as well. I might look into something else besides just those. But that's just me.....after several Non-A...

I was able to get to see my boat for the first time last week in person. It looks bigger in person; the cockpit seems huge. Re: Through Hull Ducer
Any updates on this? I am in the process of figuring out my electornics, and I am looking at the 4212 Garmin with their GSD-22 sonar. Airmar recommended the SS164 thru-hull, and we would put it on a plate at the transom similar to others shown in this thread (off center). This would be a tilted tran...

Re: winter storage
Hey Nuke, is that picture from this year? -- I am guessing that was last February or something. I have always tarped my boat, but I am thinking about not doing it with the new boat so that the tarp tiedown grommets don't hammer on it when the wind blows. I was wondering about the window seals, but I...
