Re: Shoe Laces Won't Stay Tied?
Scott - you're so SMART!
I actually tried your improved method this morning on my left boot only - guess what? I have had to re-tie my right boot twice. The left boot lace is still going strong.
Thanks for the information Scott - aka shoelace guru

Re: American Picker
Update 10/01/10 – We got the car. Now the restoration begins. Expected completion date is mid to late summer 2011. I’ll post photo updates when I can. One thing the car does not have are the original wheels so I need your help. In 1970 the Pontiac Rally II wheels actually used the 14 inch centers we...

Re: American Picker
Thanks guys. I too hope it works out. If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be is my thinking. You know, I had a 1973 Camaro in HS but was always envious of the Trans Am. I’ve been nonchalantly looking for a 2nd generation Camaro for a while. This past year or so I’ve become more aggressive ...

Nice find there Jetty……Looks to be an early 2000 truck so no emission requirements, and no pee pee water. Sweet!

It’s got the 400 Ram Air III, 4-speed manual, 12 bolt 3:55 posi, plus it has factory air….aaaahhhhh. The 1970 T/A’s only had the 400. It was 1971 when the optional 455 debuted.  A 1970 T/A with the 400 Ram Air IV would be an incredible find! They are extremely rare…….only ...

Re: American Picker
We have winners! Lester – tell Mark and Don what they’ve won. :highfive:  It’s a 1970 Trans Am. It’s hard to believe, but it has the original engine, transmission, and rear differential. Pretty incredible to me since this is a 40 year old car. It will be this weekend before I know if I get...

Re: No new Diesels for me....
Jetty – your question is valid – who can afford these trucks? My answer is that many can, but many more can’t. The people who can’t are living outside their means. Dealerships, finance companies, and insurance companies make it far too easy for literally anyone to purchase a vehicle. Especially the ...

Re: No new Diesels for me....
IDK?……..maybe it started in Texas but it caught on pretty quick. There are a lot more women driving full sized trucks than you may realize. Take a look around next time you’re out and about. A Chevy suburban used to be utilitarian too. Not now, actually not for a long time. All of those creature com...

Re: No knew Diesels for me....
IDK – in my opinion - Ford’s method for meeting emission regulations is better than what Dodge engineered. Dodge’s NOX filter, DPF, and the dreaded EGR cause nothing but exhaust & intake restrictions, restrictions which literally kill the MPGs….and that stupid EGR will cause nothing but major he...
