Re: Flooding in Louisana
I am glad to hear that you are in pretty good shape considering. The pics on TV and FB are massive issues for sure. Looks like many folks are just getting after the clean-up and some good old community fellowship. Our thoughts are with you. Is your plant something that needs to operate around the cl...

I have a pal in Atchafalaya. His house was surrounded by water but he sits about 2 feet higher...some neighbors not so lucky had 21" at his rain gauge. [image]http://lanceowners.hoop.la/fileSendAction/fcType/13/fcOid/519925554591145504/filePointer/519925554592886713/fodoid/519925554592886691/im...

Some may have noticed that I have not contributed for a good while..but it didn't mean I wasn't looking in occasionally. Here's what happened: In 2015 I had my truck camper rebuilt after a long process of determination as to "if this is a good idea"! It penciled out in more than one way. C...

Welcome! I have Profish185 with a 90 and 9.9 Yamaha, works well in Puget sound and on the Columbia near Astoria...took the water well in the afternoon onshore wind going back to Ilwaco. I like it! I'd say get the extension more space inside and goes better with longer hull holding up the motor. Exte...

Re: Is it just me?
From the look of the stern, is this being built to a MIL Spec? I almost can see that the aft out box is to support the rudder, Right? Is the rudder offset so the shaft can be removed thru the sternpost rudder protector thingy tube? It apperas that the owner is going to use this in some dodgey waters...

Re: dream cat 30
Since you have not seen the boat I suspect you don't know what made it heavy? And by heavy what did it cause...make it a displacement boat rather than planing? if so it could be a stable trailerable alloy trawler! The you could sell the big OB's and install some 70's to push it along at hull speed. ...

I think these old pics are great. I bet they conjur up some great memories for your family. I especially love the old pamphlets for advertising. The last line of the paragraph above the cargo boat that begins with "Freight to remote lodges" is really comical. THX for posting these historic...

My across the street nieghbor had a total loss plus he was killed...fising out of Westport about 20 years ago in a 24' boat it was assumed that they were run down by a ship in the fog...so don't say there can't be a total loss. I think your rate is good especially since you work the bars and Pac coa...
