Re: Bow Eyes
I spoke with Anne Fraser and she is great... they take credit cards and use usps for shipping small orders sounds like a nice business to work with. The bow eyes that they have are completely cast so I guess I will use a shackle. Can I use a galvanized shackles or do I need stainless??? Also the hol...

Bow Eyes
Hi All, So my bow eye went POP when I was hauling my Viking in for the season. It wasn't a surprise, one of my sons had noticed a crack in it over the summer. We keep our boats on moorings so the stainless mooring hook is always working against the aluminum. What do you guys use for bow eyes? I plan...

Re: FIshing with Captain Frank of the Misshayden
Captain Frank, you are going to have to help out with pictures... mine will reveal too much info about where we caught fish. Alloy we stayed in Captiva, it was off season so pretty affordable. Lots of nice people. and the Fort Meyers airport is great! The Miss Hayden is a very well thought out boat ...

FIshing with Captain Frank of the Misshayden
Just finished a great afternoon with Captain Frank. My sons and I caught at least 30 assorted Snook, Redfish, Jack Crevals, Grouper and flounder... My son Lucas might have hooked a tarpon that broke his hook in two  one roll and it was gone! It looked very big. Frank did a nice job helping my ...

Re: Bottom Paint on Aluminum Boat
I've tried Epaint for a few years now on my small boat and I'm not all that impressed... especially with the second season results. Next time I will be switching. Chaps, can Vivid go over the existing paint I think the boat has Tri-Lux 33 (new boat to me)?? also do you use Vivid free? or their regul...

Re: Added to fleet
Thanks guys, I'll post more photos soon. I hit about 30 Knots but I was only turning about 5200 rpm so I think I might need a different prop. However my I-command gauge rarely works so I haven't been able to really dial it in.
Lots of projects

Re: Added to fleet
It's a 2007 V2075HT with a 115hp Evinrude e-tec. I finally realized that with the family my dream of a 30' offshore boat will have to wait.
We have been using them both alot and I'm happy with the new one.

So I decided to get a little bigger boat: http://i869.photobucket.com/albums/ab255/Rick-W/twoalloys.jpg I've been asked if they are stainless...twice this year! Others think I must be in the metal business. and these are the boats that my boys spent the summer on: http://i869.photobucket.com/albums/...

Thanks for the responses, I ordered the wheel from amazon, it seems like a great solution! I'm a little concerned that my wife will be upset when she sees that I ordered a stripper wheel.... But I will post the results
Anyone have a source for 6" reflective decals????

I'm trying to remove some old lettering & stripes on my boat... Before last season I tried a heat gun & didn't have great results. They are letters that I want to remove on top of a reflective stripe decal. After last years attempt I now need to replace the reflective stripe :banghead: How h...
