Re: SODA BLAST / SAND BLAST BOTTOM ....
I'll give the sand man a call then!
I heard Long Island used tons of sand this year on the roads!!! We're getting ice tonight.....joy!! Hay, here's an idea. I'll just trailer the boat up and down the highway to sand blast the bottom.......

SODA BLAST / SAND BLAST BOTTOM ....
Kind of nervous, want to be sure..... I stripped the bottom of my Edwing last year by sanding and grinding and it worked great! What's left to strip are all the welds were the plates join together, the welded strake to hull joints and some crazy hard to reach spots on the stern. After failing to hir...

Re: rough water crossing
It's a bad feeling when it's so rough out that you need to hide behind a ferry and it slowly slips away as the waves get bigger and bigger and the ferry gets smaller and smaller. Been there, done that.......but never planned a trip around it.

I gave this Goldstar radar away to a guy who couldn't believe I was giving it to him for free. Little did he know I would have paid him to take it away!!!!
I think I got the better end of this deal!!!

RAYSTAR 125 GPS ANTENNA
Hi All,
It's almost spring and I'm itching to get back in the water!!
I bought a used Raymarine e120 from a pal and figured if it fits, it'll go in the Edwing. It's missing the raystar 125 gps antenna and cable. Anyone have one for sale!?

Hi Bob, That's a good size boat, a "pair" of 250HP etec........he's gonna fly and test all your welds! I have a great connection at Marine Max in RI if you ever need it. They sell Sea Rays, sailfish and ..... to the more wealthy people at a wealthy marina. If you ever wanted to chat them u...

Re: MY 25' EDWING
If anyone had a smaller in length and lower to the roof aluminum radar arch I'd be interested in buying it. My pipe arch is to high, to wide and to small in diameter to look cool plus the 50 pound radar is too heavy for it. I have to brace it with wood for strength and watch the radar under every br...

Scored a Garmin 182C for $85 and a Raymarine e120 (No 125 GPS antenna though but everything else down to the sun cover and bracket) for $500 at a marine consignment shop!! NICE!

Re: MY 25' EDWING
I just removed an expensive Bronze thu-hull transducer from the Edwing so I wouldn't have any bronze against aluminum and got lucky. No issues with the aluminum where it touched the bronze thanks to a wooden spacer on the outside and a clean dry bilge on the inside! You guys should check yours if it...

Re: CUT UP THAT BOAT?
At 55 cents a pound the boat is worth way more than scrap so that's great news! I bought an engraving pen and I'll engrave my hull number all over the boat!
I'm glad they caught that dirt bag! Too many of them in this world!!

CUT UP THAT BOAT?
I was chatting with a pal today and he brought up a horrible topic! He said I better lock my Edwing or someone could cut it into small squares and scrape it for cash right quick. COULD YOU IMAGINE!??! I bet it would be real easy too.......I wonder what a few thousand pounds of aluminum would fetch a...

I love port side cockpit door, that's my next project! I cut one in my glass boat and it's so handy you have to have one to understand it. Nice touch. But mine is 3" above the waterline to haul moorings through......

Re: MY 25' EDWING
Nice clean lines and WHAT A BOAT RAMP! Wow......
Looks like a North Coast brand boat and I'm not sure the one I saw had the flat gun-whale to walk all around the OD of the hull.
Just buy one, life is short...especially for males!!!! I bet WelderBob could make you one for less!

Re: MY 25' EDWING
Foam....good idea. I think I would cut those hip busters out and love the extra walk room. Nice boat, except for the lack of deck room. How much $ is a new one, $100k? This guys fishes and quahogs off it in Narragansett bay.
What do you guys think I could sell my Edwing for?

Re: MY 25' EDWING
edwing 60.JPG I Pulled into a slip this summer to see what all the Pacific fuss was about about. Not sure the size of this one but it sure was a center console style boat! Very nice welds! It's by no means a work boat and walking room was tight. The bow had a step on the deck and the port and stb s...

Re: MY 25' EDWING
I just replaced both end caps on my sea star hydraulic steering tube. That leak is now fixed!! (You guys should pop off the black aluminum arms that tightly fit over the SS steering arm and grease them. Once these freeze up, replacing the caps is a nightmare.) To 100% complete last years wiring job ...
