Re: What's happening at the Wooldridge shop

This guy got loaded up and is on its way to its new home in Alaska! This is a 21’ Super Sport Drifter with a fully enclosed cabin, great for when you need to get out of the weather. But this drifter is running the Magnum hydro jack-plate, this gives you all the versatility you need for running a pro...

Re: Historic Wooldridge Pictures

Glen Sr. was always working on something! This picture is a perfect illustration of that. He developed a stick steering mechanism (pictured in the two boats in the background) that enabled the user to turn lock to lock with only a half turn of the helm! A great advantage on a rapid river! Along with...

The Alaskan XL is a great platform for the start of a custom boat build! This one is a perfect example of that. 25’ Alaskan XL with aft windshield, welded front deck with locking bow storage/fishbox. Aft helm allows for a greater cargo capacity and the easy transport of roll on roll off cargo like a...

Beautiful inside an out restoration on this 26’ super sport offshore pilothouse. Years of guiding had taken its toll on this old gal before the current owners threw her some much needed TLC. Hard work pays off! Looks great guys! https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/800x600q90/924/jLmkvz.jpg https://im...

Re: Historic Wooldridge Pictures

Glen Wooldridge and Hugh Brown running on the Rogue in the late 1940’s. Hugh owned a lumber mill in the Apple Gate Valley. From time to time he would get a spruce tree in at the mill and he would call up Glen. Glen liked the durability of Spruce and would have those milled into 3/4” thick planks to ...

A couple of weeks ago we introduced the Alaskan HD! Similar to the Alaskan in shape but that’s where the similarities end! 18’ long, 5 1/2’ bottom width, 1/4’’ Hull plate thickness with 1/4’’ hull doubling plates. And to make it slide those gravel bars easy a 1/2’’ thick LinkTech fused UHMW clad bot...

Glen Wooldridge and Charley Foster during a shakedown run on the Rogue in 1947 in preparation for the 1948 trip up the Salmon River. We grow accustomed to the feat, and I think in many ways we lose the sense of amazement of what these folks were doing back then. There were no handheld radios or cell...
