Re: Honda Tachometer issue !

Hi All ! Went on to diagnose this issue and found the contacts for the engine cycle and calibration pot were slightly corroded. cleaned both with electrical cleaner and put the tack back in and adjusted it to actual engine speed. All set....... If anyone has this issue you may be able to get away by...

Re: Boga Grip

Hi All ! I am well aware of how the Bogo Grip works. If my post was read carefully it reads I owned a Boga grip and I sold it after I discovered the lipper. It is much easier to use and quicker that is exactly why I switched. If it was not that way I would still have my Boga.... The 60 pound Lipper ...

Re: Boga Grip

Hi All ! Yes the lipper is all stainless and mine is 4 years old and its seen many a dive session with just a rinse off. I liked my Bogo but you had to close the jaws yourself and the Lipper is spring loaded so when you get one half of the jaws in the fishes mouth , you just pusg the button and the ...

Re: Honda Tachometer issue !

Mac: I believe you are correct. I have fished around some and one tech told me the Honda tachs have a calibration screw inside that is adjusted to various engine sizes. Move it from its original position then return it to it original position and retest. Its no big deal. The engine run perfect , jus...

Honda Tachometer issue !

Hi All ! Thought I would post this to see if anyone has anyone had a problem like this. This past weekend I started to notice that my Tach was reading higher than the engine was actually turning. It was reading about 1000 RPM at idle and 7000 RPM at WOT throttle when the engine should have hit the r...

Re: Boga Grip

Welder: Save your money and go with a Lipper ! Features automatic release, 60Lb calibrated scale and a very nice leather sheath. Quality is just as good as the Boga and half the cost. I had a Boga and after using the Lipper I sold the Boga on Ebay. Much easier to use and much less money with better ...

Re: Azores !

Hi All ! Azores is a place you have to see ! I can go on and one about he sights and views but it would not do it justice...... Finally found the best tackle shop on this volcanic island. Purchased some surface tuna jigs made here. Made some friends in the port that fish the region. Mega fish abound...

Re: Bucktailing and GULP! for Fluke

Ahhhhhh! Gulp this ! Go with Full rigged squid and a sand eel teaser if you want a monster ! Ask any Fluke sharpy and they all say the same thing (you want big fluke you use big bait ! ) Fluke are aggressive sight feeders and will inhale huge baits with no problem at all while they watch these small...

Alloy: From sources I trust I have been told they are taking 22" in and around that size all the way to the Warwick light. I myself do not bother with shallow water much. I stick to the deep lumps and bumps. I have only taken one huge fluke in the bay and that was about ten years back. I lost t...

Alloy! That big Seabass to the right is 20" ! I was happy with the big one before it for my tourney register, but the 20" engulfed my mojo fluke rig ! So I doubt anyone is going to beat that one for last month ! That fluke was a 26.5" ...the 30 my buddy has just about cover...

Re: Pacific Repairs & Modifications

Hi All ! Glad I could point you in the correct direction. The Surfix slides work great and the hull slides off and on easily too. These Alloy hulls have their quirks just as any other boat but even so they are alot less hassle. Alot easier to fix when needed too  Still waiting for that win...

Re: Pacific Repairs & Modifications

Alloy: I wrote a fairly long post on this very problem you found with your hulls bottom corrosion on the bunk area. I don't know where it is, maybe Welder can find it, but in short is the creation of a very large battery. You have the hull, the trailer and the wet bunk as acid. The bunk being soaked...

Re: batteries

Welder: Most electronic control alternators will continue to run an engine management system if the batteries are disconnected however there will a very high voltage spike (over 200V) when the disconnect takes place and sensitive electronics are very likely to be damaged. The battery act just like a...

Hi All: I thought I could help out a little here on this battery subject. Batteries are a very complex subject as of late and I will explain. For our purpose there are basicly lead acid, AGM and Gell Cell batteries. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. First Lead acid (wet cell) are bro...

Here are the facts : The powers have decided that every effort will be made to save this drill head because there is money to be made. Now that this mess has happened you can bet your life that they are not going to collapse the well head. They need the money to pay for this mess. Another fact ........
