Re: Education on props??
You can still do your homework, & get educated on the subject, pick out the prop you want & buy it when the time arrives. No harm in being prepared.

Long story short. Damaged my 3 blade Mercury prop, 13&1/4 X17. Purchased a "Turning Point Hustler" 3 blade 13&1/4 X17, On test run I noticed RPM's were at 6300 @ WOT & lost 3 MPH  . Ordered another "Turning Point Hustler" in a 19 pitch & it brought me bac...

Re: Outboards On Ebay???
I agree with you Bob & you have a great point. BUT, 5 month ago I inquired on a boat from a west coast builder. The boat can handle 400hp. So I asked for the run-down on prices on the brands the manufacturer uses. Twin 200 Optimax's, Twin 200 Zukes, & Twin 200 Verado's. Ok, prices are fine i...

Re: New Boat
I know once on step it will be ok, but I am worried about getting it there. That was a problem on my Lund, With 4 guys in the boat it took a bit to get on plane. My spare prop is 2 inches slower, I put that on once to try it with 4 people and it gets on plane really well now, lost 3 MPH, but saftey...

Nice Shot AT  There are flocks of them in my neighborhood, holding up traffic is a common thing. I counted over 50 in my back yard a couple years ago. Last week I had one standing in front of my truck with the puffed out tail & wings flapping, A couple toots from the horn & I showe...

Re: What Sized Outboard Motor???
There are a few owners from the "Blacklab" days that had twin, 115's, 125's & 135's on the V23. I saw a post on here 2-3 years ago, Pacific had a V23 with a 300 Zuke & Honda kicker. The kicker should be around 150ish pounds, so sqauting the boat shouldn't be an issue, they can hand...
