Re: Bow Eye Welding
Kevin the boat was kept on a mooring for 4+ years, w/a stainless hook through the bow eye which wore through the old cast bow eye, Last season I used two ropes up to each of my bow cleats, it worked well and I only really need/want the bow eye to put the boat on the trailer. I know that the cast cle...

Re: Bottom Paint for Aluminum Alloy Boats in Salt Water
I just switched from Epaint to the Pettit Hydrocoat. After my first season I'm impressed, we will see how it holds up for next year!
I'm in RI and had very little growth even with not using the boat much in the fall.
Good luck
Rick

Bow Eye Welding
Hello Sorry about the basic question. I need to have a bow eye welded on. I have a good guy who does propeller repairs, am I crazy to have him weld the bow eye on for me? He is very convenient and does nice work on propellers. But I don't know enough about welding to know if there are different tech...

WOW 60 Knots from twin 300's in a 35' boat. I'm looking forward to hearing what Kevin says about the design.

Re: 15' skiff plans, boston whaler like?
I have a boat that was designed by Bill Lincoln at Response Marine and built by Viking welding in New Hampshire. It rides better and is much more stable than any 15' whaler that I've been on. here is a link: http://www.responsemarine.com/images/223/index.htm I'm not sure if Bill would sell you the p...

Congrats! Where are you going to be keeping the boat? I hope that the trip goes well and the boat is in great shape. I have a 115 and if I were re-powering I would look at 135-150. Mine is a hard top so it has a little more weight. At this years boat show the evinrude guys were quoting $9500 ...

I have a 2007 20' which works very well for my family. I would have preferred a 23' or 26' but the deal and timing made sense. The ride is a little wet which I might be correcting soon with Alloys spray rails! :highfive: . Most people seeing the boat can't believe it is only 20' and they always comm...

Hi Glen
Thanks for sharing the great photos, they brought back some great memories of my trip up the Rouge in the late 80's with Jerry's Rouge Jets. Do you guys build their boats? I noticed that they mention your family on their site.
Please keep them coming!
Cheers
