Re: Foam OR No Foam?
Nope, no pictures, no stories. Just adding to (maybe???) the discussion. The more I think about it, I probably prefer multiple sealed chambers for floatation. So Kevin, what are you thoughts about adding floataion chambers/sealed deck on boats larger than 20? Think it's a good idea? Too hard to get ...

Re: Foam OR No Foam?
I'm not advocating foam or no foam, but I do want to pose a question that needs to be addressed: what happens when an air/sealed deck boat hits something and the compartment is ruptured? I can see this as being one of the main arguments against an air chamber. Maybe multiple air chambers would lesse...

Re: No website access from Verizon phones?

Is the problem also on other websites???????? If not do you have a firewall blocking this site????? No...

paulh, welcome to AAB first of all! Hope your build turns out great; be sure to post lots of pictures for us all to watch. It's kind of funny, I've been a loyal alloy boater, but have been reading up on stich and glue the past several weeks. I've read through Renn's book, bought the Great Alaskan pl...

I talked with Stennar via email about a year ago. He was back in the business of building boats at that time. He had taken some time off. Not sure what his current status is.

I have an aircard on my laptop that's through Verizon. I can't access AAB on it. If I go home or work and connect via WIFI ATT, it works great.

Insulated Fish Holds
Thinking ahead for my next boat, I would like insulated in-floor holds for fish/ice. I have in mind that these holds will basically be a box within a box, with insulation in between the aluminum boxes. I'm thinking it will all be sealed up, so no moisture can get to the inuslation. Here's the questi...

For all of you who want a permanent fix for "twofootitis", take a look at this boat. You could finish it the way you want. Might even have room on the transom for a kicker or two or twenty. And with 2,000 gallons worth of fuel, I sure hope you'll be able to get to the honey holes waaaayyy ...

Re: Comparing Hulls
Talking about forefoot earlier, here is a boat hull that is common in southern CA. It is not aluminum, but it is interesting to see the lack of forefoot. It is designed for heading back home in the afternoons with a stiff breeze and following seas at its stern. This is a 26' boat with a 17* deadrise...

Some great potential here. Wish it had more deadrise. Quite the reverse chine; wish we could see what the bow design is like.

I too, would like to see the boat. However, I do not have a Facebook account, nor do I wish to. If you could post pictures here, there would be a bunch of us thankful for that.
