Re: Boating magazine test of Pacifc 23' Supertop
I thought it was strange the boat in the picture has a Honda on it and test says they had a Suzuki, almost makes you wonder if they really tested it.

Boating magazine test of Pacifc 23' Supertop
Got the July/August issue of Boating magazine, what a surprise to see a test of the Pacific 23' supertop. Half page article, basically says how well made it is and how tough it is, it is on page 45. They tested it with a 250hp Suzuki, top speed was only 44 mph, thought they were faster than that wit...

I'll call Julie Pacific this week and find out for ya .
Thanks,
I am looking and based on the issues I have read about the plastic tanks I would like to avoid getting a boat with them if possible.

Pacific in the Merrimack
Saw a 19' or 20' Pacific today, 6/13, in the Merrimack drift fishing around the mouth, had a Evinrude Etec on it and radar mounted on one side of the T top, anyone here? Interested in how it runs with the Etec.

Welding, any danger to outboard electronics?
Is there any danger to the ECM or gauges on an outboard if you are having welding done on a boat? I can remove the fuel tank so that should not be a concern.

Re: Are you "T" tipping?
I don't feel my Pacific 23 " Tip " but with the high sides and T-top it can be fun when loading back on the trailer on windy days. That was fixed with the guide on rails. I always try to get on the down wind side of a dock also. My boat has a 18* dead rise with a 60* deep entry and perty ...

Nice, I went for a ride this afternoon as well, Salem harbor, smooth ride out, went to Misery island let the kids walk around, took a tour through Manchester harbor, counted 4 Hinckley picnic boats, did a little fishing outside of Manchester at half tide rocks, no fish, headed back. It was blowing p...

I would be interested though limited as my boat is only 16'
How about meeting in Salem harbor on one the islands or the back side of Crane's beach? Plenty of good ramps nearby to launch from.

Re: New to me 16' Workskiff
Took it out a couple times now, 1st time, had fuel tank problems, one of the fittings was cracked, it did not let fuel out but let air in, the weighted screen on the pickup tube fell off as well so the motor was stumbling and stalling. Brought it back took the tank out, it is a plastic 19 gallon tan...

Hey Mac, I was interested in that boat also  , I'm glad that someone on this board beat me to it  . I spoke with the owner of Workskiff and he told me that if you ever re-power you should probably go with etec for lighter weight. The new boats are wider and a little longer for 4 strokes....

Sweet, I love the look of the finish on the hull. Where you at in Ma? I'm out on the Cape, maybe I'll see you on the water this summer. I am about 15 miles north of Boston, I will be using it in Salem harbor and Ipswich bay, I am hoping in the fall to trailer it down to the cape for some of the cra...
