Hmmm saw a large alloy being pulled out of Tyler Point in Providence the other day . Did not look like a Pacific ....
It was a I/O powered hull with a alloy pilot house on it . Looked pretty neat but older . Pulled out and went onto 195 west .

To explain a little more ......what you will be setting up for is VHF (very high frquency) VHF does not neeed a huge antenna to be resonant (match) so the groundplane will be smaller also. your hull is big so it will cover that without a problem. SSB is generally run in the HF (high frequency ) long...

Don't worry ......you got a bunch of groundplane with just the hull itself. It would be full effect with a bare hull but its still going to make a huge difference on a alloy hull.
