Re: My new 26HT Pacific skiff
Some nice touches to a great looking boat. It's nice to see more alloy down this way. See you around the Skyway sometime. We are from Gulfport FL.

Re: What's in your trim tab actuators?
I know someone out there has trim tabs. I'm looking into a Bennett actuator conversion, but have no feel for living with a hydraulic vs an electrical actuator system. The boat is wet slipped. So it sees a lot of time on the water. Post up and be counted.

What's in your trim tab actuators?
One of Vialula's trim tab actuators is ill. I believe it to be terminal. Unfortunately it is a MinnKota. Rather than peruse an obsolete product. I hoping for an actuator retrofit. What's in your actuators? Wires or oil. And are you happy about it?

Re: Right when 38F, thought he had the "loudest" boat!
I was thinking of working my way back to bare alloy, but seeing that green I'm all in. I'll put on the short list for the next paint job. One advantage of a painted hull. The aluminum scrappers have to look harder to find me. From Vialula the boat of purple and gold. I am 3f8. One thought Jetty &quo...

Re: Downsides to a catamaran
The 2880 pilothouse is longer, but 6'7" is the widest inside width. They are trapped by the max size of a shipping container. I can attest to the fine ride and handling of this design. And at rest the air chambers provide a stable platform. Their down side is they suck up some of the inside dim...

Re: Downsides to a catamaran
How big a boat? They turn flatter so hold on tight in the corners. Wave slap can be a problem. I think a well built alloy would not have a stress issue. I have heard of glass boats having stress problems from being torqued. The hulls span a larger area. Now that I have been so negative. Something li...

Re: Any help from Techies out there....?
Wow. I would love to be so philosophical. But in reality I'm just an old techie. In the old computing days. We did it by hand. Configuring your com ports that is. 3f8 /IRQ4 was the base memory address and interrupt for comm 1. The old DOS and windows 3.0 guys will remember this kind of arcane crap t...

Come on Jetty. The future is fun!! Was not the outboard a good idea. Three "T"s and two terminators at the helm station. A pod and your in. Go for it!

Re: Any help from Techies out there....?
Backbone networks do not always equate to being unreliable. On small boats it is often a group of "T"s with a terminator at each end. Safely installed inside the helm station. Each node is out on it's own drop. Think about it Jetty. If your transducer was to fail both units would be out ne...

Re: Any help from Techies out there....?
Your network need not be as busy as the example pic. A piece of cable, 12v dc tap, two terminators, and a tap for each node. The pod to get the transducer on the seatalk is the only thing you need to add. They may have a backbone starter kit.

Re: Any help from Techies out there....?
Hi Jetty, I'm doing a bit of speculating about your current hookup. If your transducer is connected directly to your c-120. That is using the transducer interface. To get your transducer to talk to more than one device. You must get it on a seatalk network. First setup your seatalk backbone. Then ge...

I run a single but what about maneuverability . Will duels give better docking when the wind is blowing on the cabin. Some one made the comment, yea it's like a beer can in the wind. Sometimes I think so to.
