Clearly, unions were not created because of companies like Marty's. I am actually suprised that a union would be dumb enough to even try and organize a shop with the kind of perks that you offer...I am sure that your guys are glad that things have remained non-union.

Thanks again Mark for the kind PM. Dave, you will find the right ballance for your life as a fisherman and all will be better soon. The thing that really killed me about the writers strike was not that many of their demands were unreasonable...that is OK...you try to get whatever you can get for you...

Actors strike looming?

I have a pit in my stomach the size of a beachball at the thought of another industry shutdown. The Director's Guild had a deal inside of a week....why can't these guys get it together? The stagehands and technical employees contract is also up for renewal this Summer. If anyone esle here is in the ...

Tom, what an amazing place to live. Really a dream house. You were either a wonderful person in a previous life, or a very smart person in this life, or maybe a combination of both! In any case...great pics.

Bevan,
Again...most impressive work and design. You are developing a North American fan base!!!

Can you tell me a bit about the finish? Is the aluminum polished and then a sprayed on finish?

Yeah Dave, we all know that WOT performance is not the reason any of us are fans of our boats. But it is always good to know that our motors are performing as intended. Right?

Hi Rip,

I have had my boat for only a couple of weeks, but I am going to do some performance testing with 2 different props this Summer with my 2003 Yamaha 225 (less HP than a Honda 225 I believe) and I will post all details of course.

What are your numbers?

Kayak rack?!? VERY interesting. Please post a pic when you can.

Your boats all have a distinctive shape. After seing a bunch, I can identify an Ironwood from any distance in a split second. Very cool.

Now I never thought I would say this to a man...but ...

let's see that rack!!!!

I don't know! I was listening to ch 72 and there was a halibut tournament on Sunday. There was only one decent fish caught. In2Deep was fishing for them...maybe he had some luck after I saw him on the water.

Backrest pics for Alloy Toy

As Promised: I find this very comfortable...mostly because I have an angled footrest on the console shelf that is perfect for me to keep me firmly pressed against the backrest. Without that, I would always be sliding forward. http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u182/recuts/7b599111.jpg http://i168.ph...

A "foo foo boat" is everything that Jettywolf hates!!

Basically a boat that has all the little comfort thingies that were designed to appeal to the wife so she will let you buy it.

See you tomorrow on the water Scott?

Re: West Coast I got stopped at the marina as I was taking my boat home to tinker. The guys were washing their alloy bayrunner, and had never heard of a Pacific before. They asked about pricing, top speed, where are they made, etc. I was a little suprised that they were not aware of Pacific boats......

Classic Car Show - Saturday - Seal Beach, CA

http://www.sealbeachchamber.org/downloa ... er2008.pdf

If you like classic American cars and live in SoCal, this is great every year.
Lots of '60s muscle...goats, vettes, etc.

Get there early as it gets very crowded by noon.
