OUTBOARD BRACKET???????

I just got back from my trip. What do you think? New issues were found. The aluminum under the carpeted bunk trailer is all pitted, some areas are more than 1/2 way through the 1/4" bottom. Those spots will need to be welded. The radar and Northstar GPS doesn't work..... The outboard bracket is...

Re: EDWING 1987?

Does this EdWIng look like the right design and font? If so, I'm thinking he did make boats in 1987. It's 0.025" hull and sides. The paperwork says 7k pounds, could that be right?

Re: EDWING 1987?

Now we're getting somewhere!! "EdWing is really faded and in the stern sides. I'll take a picture of it because I'm leaving now to go right through it and make some final decisions! When I saw your boat I saw tons of similarities! Where are your hull numbers? I can't find any numbers on this bo...

Re: EDWING 1987?

Starboard side because I drive from that side so I can see the gear approaching better. It's a local boat so I won't need a trucker. Trucking my mooring barge home from the builder was horrible, not sure I'll ever do that again. The 150's would be v-6 engines so they would have more cylinders and I'...

Re: EDWING 1987?

Wow, my stomach just turned over, the mooring business can't support a Yamaha 350. The owner said when it had twin 4 cyl 140's it was a rocket ship....but I guess he should say that to sell it. I was hoping twin 150's would do the trick. What do you assume it weighs? It's 0.025", the house is t...

Re: EDWING 1987?

Getting under the deck is easy, it's all open in three different water tight compartments. The hull is framed independently from the deck so if I drop a 500 pound mooring it won't push a floor support through the bottom. It has a giant H frame and hydraulics that go in the tabs on the top of the rai...

Re: EDWING 1987 WHAT IS IT????

A mooring is a heavy weight that sinks into the mud and anchors a boat in a harbor. I created this link to show you pictures of this 1987 aluminum mystery boat. It's a gil net boat from the North West and it's 25' x 9.5'. Who built it? Is it fast with what power? The fish lockers need to be made lev...

Re: EDWING 1987?

Yes, 100%. The design and purchase intent is pulling moorings out of the mud with a huge winch and bow roller then run 12 miles in very choppy waters at 25 knots. I'll post pictures tonight when I get in. I'm almost at the point of no return on this purchase so I could use some input. Did I mention ...

Re: EDWING 1987?

I did and I'll survey it again this Saturday then sea trial next week. I kind of thought it couldn't be a 1987 Edwing but someone sure painted it on the side. It's a West coast commercial gil net boat. It's 25'x9.5' with a full port to starboard house way in the stern, a huge bow and it's kind of tu...
