Re: Aluminum Gheenoe?
40 lbs thrust trolling motor pushed it to 4 mph with just me and 3.8 mph with a friend sitting up front. The hull is more stable then I thought it would be. 385 lbs of the 2 of us sitting on the same gunwale and it was still comfortable. Sorry Jetty still lacking a good camera. http://i293.photobuck...

Re: Aluminum Gheenoe?
Starting this Sat. with a 40 pound thrust trolling motor.
I don't have dates for the other test runs. The next test is a 15 hp Yamaha then a 16 hp mud motor.
If it feels safe we might test it with an old 35 hp Johnson.

Re: MP350 Power MIG by Lincoln Electric
Also it's possible that the power supply's cabinet drive rolls (push drive) may or may NOT have the correct aluminum instead of steel drive rolls and wire guide kit installed? This is something that may not have been clear when the power supply is new- there are two separate types of drive rolls fo...

Re: Welding machine help?
I am getting use to the setting, did change out the liner.
But the wire speed is still very variable
The lead has no tight loops in it.
Does anyone have a good technical support number?

Re: Need Recommendation for Boat Cover Manu
I don't make them, but I do know a few that do in Fl.
I have heard them say it is very difficult to make a 60 to 80 mph cover.
I have not heard anyone say they could do it in one shot, it seems to take some trial and error for each different boat.
I'm sure some can do it, good luck.

Enchanced Loran, is over my head.
But I have fished with old charter Capt. that refused to use GPS, and that machine came out in time for them.

Shortly after loran got shut down, I knew a few that picked a conversion machine looks a lot like a loran, replaces the obsolete.
Once the offset is set I hear it works like a champ.
And they are stand alone furuno units.

Re: Welding machine help?
Yes it is a push pull gun, 25' long.
I'm sure once it is figured out it will weld great.
We had it welding ok but the ark length was changing, changing the tip was no help.
Today he is getting a new liner for it.
Still so many adjustments and options on this machine.
