Re: Electrolysis

Chaps Thanks for the reply, what you are seeing in the hull photos is the epoxy barrier coat and ablative non-copper paint which was pressure washed. Interesting about the Evinrude motor anode issue, I will replace all the anodes this winter and make sure that they all have a good connection. Is the...

Good Morning

I have a V2025HT (motor on a bracket) and my overall length is 27.5', but you could set up a folding tongue on my trailer and it would be closer to 25'

Re: 7.9 Meter Naiad Viking New Build

RSCO,

How much fuel does the boat carry? What year are the motors and how many hours do they have? Where is the boat located?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the site Brendan! Brendan has welded spray rails, repaired a corroded drain plug, replaced a bow eye and re-designed seating for my boats. His work has always been amazing and above my expectations. He is also very knowledgeable about the marine industry and why things work and why they d...

Re: USS Gerald Ford Pics

That Ship Rules! I'm sure that the 35 knot top speed is very conservative! However it's scary that it took 12 years to build... Our tax $$$ at work! I've heard that big cruise ships (w/5K + passengers) are in the 24-48 month range to build...gotta love big government.

Cheers!

Re: Pricing new and used alumanim boats...advise

Yes I agree with Chaps... NADA takes the original MSRP and depreciates it (X% per year) like a glass boat or a car... Not very realistic with an AAB, Maybe depreciate the motor and trailer (after a few years and out of warranty) but the boat values seem to stay consistent.

Hello I have a V2025HT which is the same hull as the 19 but with a bracket. It is a 2007 and has a 115 Evinrude with around 550 hrs. I haven't found a replacement boat yet but I might be interested in selling. If you think it might work for you, please contact me a Attache@comcast.net and I can send...

3f8,

It looks great! How did you prepare the deck before applying, did you use the Tuff coat primer, how many coats and how does it feel with bare feet???

Thanks in advance!

Re: Non Skid????

Hi Kevin, Thanks for your feedback I agree the surface prep was never perfect, Which 3M Buffing pad do you use? do you buff it by hand or with a machine? Do you think that there could be a problem using the hydro-tuff if I applied it correctly? I'm leaning towards using it since it will be easier on...

Non Skid????

Hello All, I have been using strips of the 3-M tape for non skid on my Viking and it keeps on peeling off, I have used the edge sealant. Since we use the boat mostly for water sports and as a beach bus I was thinking about getting a couple sheets of Hydro-Tuf: http://hydroturf.com/products/Sheets_of...

Re: 23' Pacific Pine Island Sound

Hey Alloy

We went 30+ miles off shore and we were tight as soon as the baits hit bottom. Lots of big grouper a couple of king macks also. We stayed out on Captiva for a relaxing week. You would have know if it was Franks boat that you saw with twin 200 Yamaha's and the big crash bar.

Anodes

Hello All, Stanley's' post has me thinking about Anodes. I did a search and it seems that folks here are mostly using zinc or aluminum anodes for salt water. Also I looked at the BoatZincs and their chart: http://www.boatzincs.com/pdfs/Chart_B-Which_Anodes_Should_I_Use.pdf I think both of my boats h...
