I left the oil in and change it after I'm done.

The weld area gets pretty hot but
the heat dissipates fast enough not to cook the oil

Every one does stuff different if for teasers I would run the line to the first eye when the big one is on pull the bars right to the eye let them hang up in the air out of the way and I would run a single line to the tip for fishing I think pulling that much from the end would make for a short rigg...

Do you run your arms straight out or do you run them slightly pointing aft or towards the stern? I lock them strait out with the pull from the lures and or bait thay tend to go aft some Do you single rig or double rig them? I like the single rig my self but fishing with them double is not to hard

The one thing that bothers me is that the poles aren't pinned into the elbows. I may add a pull pin as a safety precaution........... with the out rigger lines clipped to the boat the poles can't come out It has worked well for me to find a spot where the outrigger line are snug in the out position ...

Never used these so I'm assuming the "finger" clamp on ring is what stops the elbows/pole from drifting from my spreader bar tension...... yes and this is hard for me to explain on a keyboard the handle is also suppost to work like a cam lock http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm67/gandrfa...

nice good set
Thing to keep an eye on is the metal on metal
It can gaull and lock up
after salt water use good rinse
every few trips out open the clamp handle and lube

How thick is your hard top?
