Spare boat for sale

We used this boat for a video production, so we cant sell it thru the dealers as "new."

I would encourage anyone interested to talk to RMC in Seattle. They coat the interiors of Safeboats and some wooldridge boats.

Welder needed

If you are able to weld a nice run of dimes with a Miller 350P and are interested in helping on a small skiff project, we need part time help for this boat as it is a specialty project. PM me for details.

Have you seen the work at RMC? I was just commenting on the zolatone question. RMC sandblasts and powder coats entire boats. Do it once and for all.

I would bring it to RMC and have them do a sandblast, epoxy duraprime, and topcoat powder coat.

Welders at the ready

My friend Doug Thompson has a crew of 4 guys, they have a metal fab shop just outside of Bremerton. All of his staff are retired from Safeboats, Armstrong, Kvichak and Lee Shore. They are a little light on work at the moment for the off-season of the fish pen work they do, so if anybody needs great ...

Re: Recent Chine Extrusion Experience

Good points Kevin. I would far rather pay for an extra hour or 2 to get it welded. I know that some production builders like Alumaweld prefer the cleaner look of an unwelded exterior chine, but what looks nice in the showroom must stand the test of mother nature..and she dont care about looks. I agr...

Re: Recent Chine Extrusion Experience

I have found that most manufacturers weld only the 2 inside "seams" of the chine, and leave the outside bare. They do this to save weld time. It irks me that they dont AT LEAST seal the chine with a marine grade sealant, because even after a good rinse down, some salt will remain in this a...

Miller 350P setting chart?

Has anyone made a chart of indications of settings for a 350P? For example, today I found that on a 1/8 to 1/8 fillet weld, 5052, i found that 3/64 wire Arc Length 25, Arc Sharpness 20, wire speed 340 made very pretty, Safeboats looking weld. I was thinking it would be cool if someone made a chart b...

Re: aluminum prices????

If you think Aluminum is bad, check out steel. Its jumped bigtime already. Its great all the jobs coming back to America and stuff getting more expensive, so profit margins can increase, but now try finding quality workers who are willing to use their hands and do all this hard, non-techy non comput...

kmorin, Just like Yelp, i think it would be best if you did mention the make. Your description paints a perfect picture i can clearly envision it. But as boat builders, we are all aware that submitting our product to the public eye (consumer) yields scrutiny. Perhaps this was a one off mistake on th...

Also yes-instead of stretching a SAFE, have Inventech (life proof boats) make you a new one. They are amazing boats and priced very well when you look at how they're built. www.lifeproofboats.com It is owned by the owner of SAFE boats

Re: Stretching a SAFEBoat

I tend to agree, there are lots of opensource free software forum programs that allow you to attach a jpeg image. On this site you basically have to convert the image to code to get the image to display. Not the end of the world but can be frustrating.
