Re: FiberRubber: Amazing new hull system
They say that necessity is the mother of invention, but sometimes all is takes is a garage, a chemist, and a really good idea. Such is the case with FiberRubber®, the brainchild of Alokin Alset, an immigrant from East Europe who was granted US citizenship one year to the day after being granted a pa...

How to make the Bow have the Carolina Flare of a Clorox Bottle Boat? That would be sweet. And I would Mod My boat this Winter coming. If I could figure that out.

Re: Pilot House; Design-Build
Seeing your Brows and the way to design it is two years late Kevin for me. I wanted one on my boat but my welder/friend is /was not a fan of them. My boat is a Glen L Designed "Coronado" "Norwestern". The Hull was purchased by a customer, brought to BMF thinking he could use it a...

Re: Pilot House; Design-Build
Glenn Welcome to AAB  Your right to ask Kevin for some insight. I modified my Northriver; adding a cabin to the existing window frame. It worked but it was not pleasing to the eye. I could live with it but others saw the Ugly in my design. If I could redo I would cut off the original windo...

Re: The Journey Begins
A Common Ground tieing all of the Batteries together was the Cause for the VSR not to operate properly. Almost sunk my New Boat due to that issue. I have since corrected the Problem and I now consider the battery switches and VSRs great. They work. The switch issue was due to both my electrition not...

Re: New Riverhawk Family Boat Build
If you are going to leave your boat in the salt all summer are you going to bottom paint? A month in Westport or in the sound you will need to pull the boat and Bleach the hull and wash her bottom clean or you will hate life. Ask Bob @CHAPS about what he has seen of the local boats not protected. :...

Re: Looking to redo thru hull fittings
My Boat is ok. The below deck thru hull was made from Coldwater. They had it machined with their pipe. Again I learned something. My above the water line thru hulls are 6063 alloy. You did save me from putting in the new one. Thank-you  She has sat in the water now for 10 months so far since n...

Re: Looking to redo thru hull fittings
I have used all of those. My Current Boat has one thru hull currently and it is a piece of threaded 6063 schedule 40 pipe with a backing plate that is welded to the inside of my boat with the pipe welded to the outside as well. the seacock you have a picture of is what I use. 1.5" diameter thru...

Re: The Journey Begins
Well had a minor set back that is now corrected. In the process of moving/relocating my battery switch panel, I was removing extra battery cable. I found the copper wires of my cables black with corrosion not bright copper. Back in time around Thanksgiving my Port engine would not start. After verif...
