Re: New boat paint

First of all, welcome aboard AAB! There are various opinions on this issue, so you get to choose which side you want to be on. My current boat has paint, my next boat will not have any. I prefer function over paint. I currently have some chips, scratches, and a couple of bubbling spots in the paint....

Re: Manual wiper

I've thought about adding one too. Question though: how well do these things "park" to the side AND STAY parked? ...or what am I missing?

Re: 22' Safe Boat, F250 $55K

Chaps, I spent some time trying to find the info about posting pictures a while back and only found how to post via photobucket. I would need some instruction on how to use the AAB upload function. I think we all like pictures, it just takes a little time and effort to get them up.

Re: Been Gone a while

Reelsong, you've mentioned RSW in several posts recently. This idea really facinates me. Could you start another thread and educate us all on how this works and what design elements needs to be included in a boat, what power it takes, and what equipment is needed? And maybe add information about ins...

Not mine, but a cool boat. Add all your own goodies and motors, and maybe some reenforcement to the transom and some scuppers to the splash well?!

Re: Comparing Hulls

Informative links, Mojo. Thanks for posting. Another question....I've just been thinking about the center of gravity and how placement of items such as batteries and anchors and other things that add up and affect the center of gravity. Is it best for boats to have their fuel tanks centered on the c...

Re: Comparing Hulls

Here is a really nice design that has a lot of qualities of the general hull shape all rapped up into one. Bruce has been designing boat's for quite some time now and is kind of a quieter one out there. I really like this one and I have been talking to him about modifying it to suit my needs. I wan...

Re: Comparing Hulls

Okay, I got it. I now understand the different terminology for the sheerlines. Not sure that the sheer makes much difference in hull performance...it's more an asthetic thing, isn't it?

Re: Comparing Hulls

Kevin, I think I’m up to snuff on most terms and design views. I’ve read through your posts about the different plan views as you were discussing that several months ago here at AAB. I’m very used to reading topographical maps, so looking at boats in the same way is easy. From your posts, I determin...

If I am able to find them, or if someone else can find them, I will add them to this post. Here we go... Hull A A Pacif...
