Mobile to Destin flooded out

And as usual, our condo is half filled along with thousands of others. The water rose 4' or about what is seen in a Cat 2 storm during the overnight, releasing hundreds of boats from moorings and boat lifts. The Mobile CG was asking for good Samaritans to grab the line of any they passed as the Bay,...

After re-reading the thread, I gotta hit the Waffle House 'cuz Ima starving! Y'all keep that clam sauce...not a fan....but I'd bet a white wine reduced gravy from the catch pan would be yummie! Re: Turkey Hunt

That's a sporty bird! Congratulations on what sounds like a great time. About the frozen fried turkeys, never fails that some loon pulls that stunt here a few times a Year and always with near catastrophic consequences. The recent ones go the extra mile too with setups on wooden decks!!!! :hammer: T...

Re: Pacific boat lenght

The most aft deck space on the 23' is with the 5 x 4 cabin model, with 74". No idea how that matches up, just what the site had.

Welderbob, what are the dims on your 23 hull, for comparison's sake? Love to see one too!

Re: "EDGE OF THE OCEAN" by IVY Jettywolf slideshow

Lol, only 355 miles NW of you and about 40 miles North of the super rain that is falling South of Macon to beautimous JAX & FL. Wind advisory is in effect from 1800-0800 tomorrow with a 30 mph steady wind. Sunday appears to be it for me but the River will be WAY UP so I'll have to check the Dam ...

Re: "EDGE OF THE OCEAN" by IVY Jettywolf slideshow

We had all that wind Tuesday through Wednesday, gusts to 55mph.

In the public lakes here, almost all are electric motor only so something like that would be perfect. Besides being close to me, they receive little fishing pressure during the Weekdays.

Re: "EDGE OF THE OCEAN" by IVY Jettywolf slideshow

We're getting rain tomorrow but this W/E is shaping up pretty nicely for a trip to the river for some frying pan fish. We delivered parts to a fellow who sells mini-pontoon paddle boats and I think I may have found my river craft! .08 5052 tubes and structure, weighs ~300 lbs. and the fishing set-up...

Anybody got the scoop on the new E-TECH?

Mod 8 interceded in a thread with about a prototype Evinrude OB. Seems a pic from a hired source shared it on THT and BRP called them out, along with other sites. Subsequently, a June announcement is evidently coming about a new high HP OB From BRP. Sorta wild to see such play out but how about a ne...

Re: Here we go, the build... FINALLY Armstrong 28'

That is very impressive! And with only 500 horses so the fuel expenditures will be much more tolerable. That is plenty fast enough and if the cruise is near 30 kts then you'll have great range too. Looking good!

Re: Center Console - T-Top or Not

More a matter of location, a local fisherman's need or concern. Here, in my lifetime, the need for a cabin or t-top has never been an issue. Firstly, we experience all four seasons here so when it is blistering hot or numbingly cold, we have other stuff to do, lol. Fished in every condition imaginab...
