Re: Ed Wing Pilothouse.

No, the 90 was still doing fine. I just wanted more midrange power. It cruises at 3500rpm's at 22kts, And it hits 40kts now, which doesn't nice since I live on big boat cruising at 7-9kts.

You can have it back anytime you want to downsize from your Laconner.

Ed Wing Pilothouse.

For a limited time. I found a bigger boat, and if that one sales first this will be back off the market. It is CHAPS old boat, so if I cannot answer any questions he probably can. I am selling my 20' 1998 Ed Wing pilothouse (it's really 21' and close to 23' overall) because I am looking at a bigger ...

Re: Bottom machine Chart Plotter

By hitting numbers, I mean going to a lat and long and start fishing. I am a fan of separate systems for redundancy, it's a product of my commercial fishing upbringing. For my money I would Get a FURUNO fish finder and cheap chartplotter. But if you mainly after groundfish only then you could probab...

Re: Bottom machine Chart Plotter

Less knowledgeable people of said subject (like me) are curious. It's funny you brought this up Les, I have been lurking around on-line for a couple weeks & have NO CLUE what-is-what. I see some units for $500-$600, I see some for $6k. Is it realy necessary to spend $6k on a gps/ fish finder???...

Re: Bottom machine Chart Plotter

I got to chose my end of season bonus this year. Well told my boss that I needed a new fish finder, and he said order whatever I wanted. So I chose a NSE12  If I had to pay for it I don't think I would have gone so expensive. Especially since its only a 20'er. But I won't turn down free stuff....

Well the bottom looked alright but there were a few spots that looked like splash zone was used as a patch. So my dad passed, and I decided to take on the project.

Re: Need Help

I'm going to take a peak at it tomorrow and I'll take some pics of the bottom. He said he would sell it without the motor, but what would be a fair offer? He said it has a columbia anchor set up on it if that matters. Also he said that it had a vinyl cover that was painted over with the grey paint. ...

So my dad was looking at this boat and I figured I ask you guys and gals what you thought of it and if the price is fair. $3500 It would be a little work skiff for around the marina. The owner said it had a 60hp previous that was perfect but sold it with another boat. He wasn't sure on the guage of ...

Re: Canuck tow rig.

That brings back memories. Think we moved when the dividends were around $900 and we drank allot of milk-man. But we spent almost everyday we could fishing, and camping with my dad and 3 brothers. Good times and I wish my son could have the same experiences. That milk man was some awful stuff, wasn...

Yup. That free oil money we get from the state sure adds up. $1174 per member of the family last year...yup we are RICH! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I grew up in a house where dad was the sole income provider. He was a teacher. There were four yard apes running around. The months with 31 days were toug...

Re: Variable Deadrise

Not completely sure. But more dead rise equals more rocking at rest. Then dead rise affects down swell ride as well. I am just guessing here but a variable dead rise will rock less at rest and have a more stable down hill ride. It gains this by sacrificing some upswell performance. Again that just a...

Re: Need Advice

Ok chads crozier's cell number is (360)461-4825 As far as pacific vs others. Yes I can agree that pacific has allot better fit and finish as well as superior designed houses. But I simply cannot afford one and I refuse to take a loan out on a toy again. Did that before and it has never worked out. F...

Re: Best hull for beaching?

Yeah been thinking about that. At this point I was going to wait until the Seattle boat show and the puyallup sportsmens show to see if there is any special deals for a plate skiff. BUT at this point I have a job offer that will pay for it, but since I am a commercial fisherman and already gone 9 mo...

Re: Need Advice

Thanks. That is why I ask questions here. I am only at the drooling point right now. But the top picture is 33,500 for a 26x9.5' ready for power and the bottom is 40k for pretty much the same. Both with a 6'x7' pilothouse.
