it is not exactly fresh news, but Evinrude recently announced the second generation of ETEC outboards. It is just the big ones for now--200 to 300hp. I would speculate that eventually the entire line will shift to Gen 2, unless the public rejects the Buck Rogers styling of the gen 2's. :-) http://ww...

it looks like the boat tipped over because it took too long to get into deep enough water to take advantage of the ballast. But, who knows. that really is a bummer and will be terrible for the future of the company. who would buy a boat from them now?

While this thread has been running my boat has been with North River undergoing some minor warranty work and additions. I asked if they would do an acid wash for me but NR were not keen advising that they had tried this in the past but were not impressed with the results which were often streaky. T...
