More electrolysis

I have a 16 ft Alumaweld. I keep it on a trailer. I use it mostly in salt water. I flush the motor and wash down the boat and trailer everytime I use it. Just recently I found a hole in the hull up by the bilge output. A few days later I noticed three more small holes in the hull just above the chin...

Re: Looking for aluminum boat need advise

You probably have a single 150 or maybe a 200 on your 2120. Try putting a Permatrim hydrofoil on your motor. It will help the slow speed wandering and it will help you plane at a lower speed. I had a 23 and it really helped maneuvering around the dock.

Re: Shootin' & Stuff

I got a Kahr P380 last year. Shoots well for a little gun. A couple of months ago I bought a SA XDs. I haven't had time to shoot it yet. How does it compare with yoour 1911 A1 Les?

If you don't want the natural oxidation, use Sharkhide.

The Armstrong monohulls seem to be great boats. I wish they still built the smaller monohulls.

I am going to buy a little bigger boat in a year or so. Silver Streak has a model I really like. I will be going to Victoria to test drive a similar boat. He does have rentals, so I can evaluate it on the water. I will take the warnings at face value. I have heard no complaints, unseaworthyness issu...

I have a small 2008 Alumaweld, not the sterndrive like yours. I haven't noticed any corrosion, but I guess I better check.

I've never understood why we even need DHS. I really don't think my 93 year old mother needs to be pulled aside for further scruntity. You would think these half-wits would be smart enough to put aside "Political correctness" and concentrate on who may actually be a threat. I'm 68. After r...

Remember one of the Crocodile Dundee movies where he is fishing in New York Harbor with TNT? You just have to throw it a little farther away from the boat.

A friend my age likes younger girls. She got out of the shower. He said she looked like Clarrabell. She asked him "Who is Clarabell"? She was not old enough.

Steve Jobs has been dead about a year now. His new ALUMINUM boat has just been finished. I believe the builder was Fedship. They say it looks like an iPhone.

Re: Bruce Cope has updated his website

I like the 23' PH. So my question is how do you find a builder that will warranty the work? How do you do a test ride? Especially if there are only a couple out there and they're a 1000+ miles away? Or worse not ever been built? I've looked at Specialty Marine before but could never get past those ...

I may be buying another boat in a while. Winninghoff looks to have a good variety of styles. I will be interested in what you think of their build quality and hull design.

I love hearing about the trials and tribulations you are having. I have trouble with my 16 and a 23 footers. Great picture of you at the helm.
