Re: Alloy all around the Cummins!

F for front and G for 4 rear...I have aired them from 75 to 90 to 110 and the tracking is much better at 110. The ride empty is harsh, if you don't air down, I go to 80 all arond then if i am off loaded for a long while...otherwisw I just deal with it...not worth the fiddling around to air all six. ...

Alloy all around the Cummins!

How's this for ALLOY? Bumper from Australia. Wheels are MKW 19.5's all six. With the 19.5 and the tire to go with them the wheels actually are heavier than the stock 17 and tires, but the stability and ride are soooo much better! Not to mention the increased milage befroe needing new tires, run them ...

Re: Trailer Tires

Come to think of it the old trailer had BP tires in 510x13...it was only a 16' boat...I wore them out and had no issues otherwise...I am going to go to my GY guy and ask some pointed questions...thx for making me think back...also Trailer tires are made to sit for long stretches of time and not get ...

Re: Trailer Tires

My new trailer has the GY Marathon seem to track nice and good looking tread design like it will handle rain well and not get too slippery when the surge comes on. MY old trailer used what ever brand Discount (America's) Tire sold...gt lots of miles and they seemed stable. As you probably know don't...

Re: Bait prep stations

This is simple and good for this smaller boat. I got the front mounting bracket from MAGNA the Marine BBQ folks to make the custom board to fit my aft transom area. It is Starboard 3/8" all fastened with SS screws as it cannot be glued. It tilts off the back for easy cleaning, but the droppings...

I bought it back in 1965, I truck (1949 Chevy split window 216ci 6 and 3 speed) topped it on a stake system...had a 1959 10HP Johnny...that brown color aluminum cased motor and old metal tanks with glass level needle windows...sold her in 1975. Re: New to alloy boats

I see from the specs that the free-board is the same as my Raider...this is a good depth! Even so my Raider is a 185 it has the bracket which makes her 20 and a little faster and much safer with a full transom. I was out in the sound with some good winds and steep stuff plus current running the Narr...

Re: New to alloy boats

Welcome to the world of Aluminum...I am new to it as well...in the welded world. Had an old VALCO 12' car-topper in the mid 60's. Had a vintage (meaning really beat up) 16' Arkansas Traveler (about 1959 or so) this summer which I moved as I wanted the trailer for another boat and an Aqua Pro aluminu...

Anchor Windlass

I am thinking of installing an anchor windlass on my Raider. There is plenty of room on the foredeck and the rode storage area would be a straight drop from the windlass chain port thru the foredeck. The wires and installation with some reinforcement of the deck before bolting down the windlass woul...

Re: Electronic Horse Power

Razor, That is impressive, I have seen a 1998 Dodge at the Dyno days in Enaclaw crank out 700HP, black smoke everywhere the fans couldn't keep up. If I was going to do anything else, I do injectors next only mild ones about 60HP...as the weak link is the auto tranny. But the way she runs now, I got ...
