We were going to go with vinyl--but changed over to paint on advice from John (JJ 225).Chaps wrote:I'd like to see how she sits on her lines. Is that vinyl on the hull sides or is it paint?

Hey Bob:
Looking at the photo in post #24, do you think we should just run the bottom paint right up to the bottom line of the blue paint?
Cheers,
Mike

Re: New Riverhawk Family Boat Build
Our boat left the shop in Oregon today and is headed North to Cabelas for final fitout! Our Man Dan was kind enough to provide a few more pics. I tried to add all the photos to the first post-- but apparently 20 is the max number of photos allowed in one post. Here is No. 21

250 or 300 for new 24 pilothouse
Hi Guys: I am wondering what you all would recommend for powering our new boat. They will be hanging the motor next week. We originally planned to use the 4.2 liter 250 Yamaha--but have been considering bumping up to the 300. Our boat is a Riverhawk Cuddy Pro 24 feet with 2 foot offshore bracket. Dr...

Boy, that is a shiny one! I saw a great big Munson with the words "research" on the side headed down Highway 305 on Bainbridge the other day. Thanks for the pics. Mike Belongs to a friend, Eric Parker, monster Munson. Has a three point anchoring system so he can fix his position right ove...

Oh yeah! If you like the Pacifics, you should look at the Rocksalt boats that Bob does. Very stout boats and a lot closer to you.welderbob wrote:You could take the ferry over to Long Island and talk to Sound Marine about a custom aluminum boat.

Re: Who makes this boat?
Sorry, I can't identify it--but it is a nice looking center console. It looks like the website is hosted by a Seattle based company--but I guess that does not necessarily mean it is a Seattle--area boat. they could have got the pic from anywhere off the net. But I would guess someone will eventually...

Re: New Riverhawk Family Boat Build
Hey Mike, is that paint or vinyl? If I had to do it again I'd nix the vinyl stripe on my boat. It had small nicks in it just from bringing it down from Seattle. Got a good dock rash on it a few weeks ago going up wind into the dock. Just way better to not have anything on it. Looks pretty but not r...

Re: New Riverhawk Family Boat Build
I think the pic posted by Gypseas is pretty close to what our boat will look like (same color). The blue stripe will be narrower on our boat and ours has 2 foot more dance floor. The fuel filler is also in the same location on our boat. For what we do, a 100 gallon tank should be plenty--so probably...

Mike what are you doing for seats? Mark has a few options to think about in Suspension seats  We went with two heavy suspension seats (mechanical) forward--a small table and forward facing bench on the passenger side and a sideways bench behind the captain's seat. I'm not sure of the brand...

Hey Guys:
I have already asked my uncle Bob about getting on his schedule for bottom paint :-) The funny think is--Bob's shop is less than a mile from my house--so I can stop by and help out too!
